ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW AUGUST 17, 1981 PAGE 2
the theater and Cunninghams Drug Store. The rear of the pro=
perty is in very poor condition and APCOA will see to it that
the back is cleaned up and will enclose their dumpsters with a
gatee It was suggested that a common enclosure for both the
theater and the existing dumpsters would be more desirable.
R. Mongello believes that according to code if you are remodeling
over 50% of the building, the Building Department could force
Cunninghams or the owners to cooperate in a joint plan to screen
the dumpsters. It was suggested that a letter be sent by the
Building Commissioner to accomplish this. It was suggested that
2 parking spaces be eliminated to make the opening larger for
the garbage trucks. The building facade will consist of the
existing stoe and cedar siding with a theater type entrance.
The sign will be an illuminated marque type. A pole sign will
be submitted later. The remaing portion of the building between
Chuck E. Cheese and Cunninghams will remain as is until it is
subleased. Mr. Parry would like to have the design of the
facade carried out on the vacant portion of the building.
This is not practical at this time since there is no tennant,
but the Board will make that recommendation when plans for that
segment is reviewed. APCOA will maintain the parking area.
R. Parry moved to.approve the Chuck E. Cheese Pizza Time Theatre
providing that the opening of the trash storage area be at least
11', seconded by S. Ebin. Roll Call on Motion: Parry, Ebin, and
Case, Aye. Mongello abstained. R. Parry moved to approve the
facia sign only, as submitted providing the material be Lexan or
its equivilant unbreakable plastic, seconded by S. Ebin. Roll
Call on Motion: Parry, Ebin, and Case, Aye. Mongell abstained.
(b) Select Sound, Inc.
Withdrawn by developer
The Board decided to change the meeting time to 4:30 p.m.
VI. ADJOURMENT:
The next meeting will be Monday, September 14, 1981.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:25 p.m.
M. Case, Chairwaman B. Oring, Recording Secretary
