BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS JUNE 11, 1980. PAGE 4 <br />Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. The <br />oath was administered. This is a cul--de-sac lot and a variance had <br />been granted to build the house. The property behind has a very deep .. <br />lot and this patio cover will not jeopardize anyone's view. C. <br />Remmel moved to grant the variance for a patio cover but not for an <br />enclosed patio, seconded by L. Horvath, and unanimously approved. <br />Variance granted. <br />12. Gerald Manchas, 23345 Alexander Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request Special Permit to add to non- <br />conforming building. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02. <br />Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. <br />The oath was administeredo L. Horvath moved to grant the Special <br />Permi.t, seconded by W. Wasniak, and unanimously approved. <br />13. Ten Minute Lube, Inco 25715 Lorain Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request variance to use portable, <br />temporary sign. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1225.02. <br />Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. The <br />oath was administered. This is for-a 4 x 8' portable, temporary sign <br />for a grand opening for a 30 day period. C. Remmel moved that the <br />variance be granted for a portable temporary sign, non-illuminated, <br />not to exceed 8' x 4' with the imderstanding that the sign will be <br />confiscated by the City if it is not removed after 30 days, seconded <br />by W. Wasniak, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />14. Richard Gibson, 6854 Stearns Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133a13). Request for Special Permit to add to <br />non-conforming dwelling. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02. <br />Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. No <br />representative was present. This Special £ermit is necessary because <br />of a 2.5' side yard. The addition is to atieach the present free <br />standing garage to the house with a 10' addition between. It was <br />agreed that the addition would be an improvement. L. Horvath moved <br />to grant the Special Pemit, seconded by W. Wasniak, and unanimously <br />approved. Special Permit granted. <br />15. West Haven Foundation for the Retarded, 25991 Butternut Ridge. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). The building to be used is a one <br />family dwelling and proposed use is in violation of Ord. 62-33, Section <br />1125.33 which defines a chaelling - One Family; A separate, detached <br />building designed for and occupied exclusively as a living unit for one <br />family; and further Section 1125.26 Family - defined as: one or more <br />persons living in a separate living unit in a domestic relationship <br />based on birth, marriage or other domestic bond.
