The appellant is requesting to use the barn for an indus-
trial use. The property is zoned as a General Retail Business area,
but was formerly used as residential and agricultural. The Board
studied section 1191.03 of the Zoning Ordinances. Chairman Ledvina
moved that the Board sustain the Building Commissioner's ruling that
the present use of this property pertaining to the storage of con-
struction equipment shall be construed to be a Limited Industrial
use, seconded by E. DeVoto, and unanimously approved. A letter ob-
jecting to the change of zoning from Home Center, [Jest which is
located across the street, was read. Mr. Pelech's representative
explained that they are in the process of upgrading the property. The
length of the lease is indefinitea It was pointed out that other
requests for changing zoning have been denied. E. DeVoto moved to
deny the request, seconded by W. [Jasniak, and tmanimously approved.
Request denied.
Chairman Ledvina read a commtmication from Beverly Martindale re-
garding a rumor that a home at 25991 Butternut Ridge Rd has been
sold to a foundation for handicapped, retarded young women and
objecting to it next to her home. This matter is not before the
Board at this time.
D. Ledvina advised that he addressed the Charter Re view Commission on
Ap ril 16th. He suggested two changes in the Charter. He feels that
there should be a definite provision in the Charter for removal of
members from all Boards for.'lack of attendance, and also that any
appeals board should require a larger percentage of approval to grant
variances from Ordinances created by other Boards.
The next meeting will be June 11, 1980.
The mee ting was adj ourne d at 8: 45 p. m.
D.
