ROLL CALL: Chairman Bugala.called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: R. Bugala, J. Roberts, J. Brown, an-d B. Gorris <br />Absent: D. Ryan and J. Prokasy <br />Also Present: Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott and Recording <br />Secretary B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTIOPd OF IyfINUTES: <br />The minutes of 9/25/79 should be corrected to read Also Present <br />D. McDermott, also Minutes approved were for 9/11/79. ' On Page 3 <br />under Old Business: second line should read Ordinance 79-89. <br />J. Roberts -moved to approve the Minutes of September 25, 1979, as <br />corrected, seconded by J. Brown, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />No Items <br />IV. NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVISIONS: <br />No Items <br />V. COMMUNCIATIONS: <br />Ordinance 79-89 dealing with Portable signs has been returned to <br />Planning Commission because Coi.mcil has changed the length of time <br />permitted from a 14 day period to a 30 day pe riod per calander year. <br />The entire Ordinance was again discussed. B. Gorris moved that <br />the Planning Commission recommend to Council that the Ordinance <br />79-89 not be approved at this time but rather be referred to the <br />Long Range Planning Committee on Signs, we realize that this is a <br />reversal of our decision of July 10, 1979 pertaining to the 14 day <br />limitation on portable signs but after additional reflection and <br />considering the Architectura'1 Board of Review Minutes of August 20, <br />1979, we believe that without further study this is not in the best <br />interest of the community, seconded by J. Roberts, and unanimously <br />app r ove d. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />B. Gorris suggested th at the Commission would like Building Com- <br />missioner Gundy to consider a method for presenting the signs that <br />are referred from the Architectural Board of Review in a block for
