, PLANNING COMMI'SSION,,TTTLY 25= 1978 PAGE 2 <br />Mrso Brown moved to approve the combining of the.two parcels on the current <br />site of Payless Gas Station at 24046 Lorain Road. Mr. Ohman seconded and <br />motion passed. , <br />(c) North 0lmsted High School soccer field addition and site improvements. <br />Parcel number 235-16=9, <br />Mr. McDermott introduced Mr. Robert Storch, Assistant Superintendent of <br />Schools and Mr. Richard Deming, Architecht, both of whom are representing <br />the school board and they came before the Commissiono Mr. Deming distributed <br />plans and b7.ueprints of the proposed improvements to be made at the high school <br />site. The exact Zocation of the proposed improvements were determined and <br />discussed --- development of 1and south of the building along the back lots <br />off Burns Road betaeen tfle drainage ditch to the east and back lot lines to <br />the westo. At tlie extreme south is the 1-480 right-of-way. <br />Mrm Prokasy moved to approve the plans as submitted with the addition of <br />extending the existing chain Zink fence 20' at a 12' height and then reduced <br />to 6' and extended to I--480 right,of-way. Mr. Roberts seconded and motion <br />passed. <br />(d) Spruce Elementary School playground addition and site improvements. Parcel <br />: 234-27-64. <br />Mr. Storch and Mr. Deming distributed plans and blueprints of the proposed <br />improvements for Spruce School playground additiono The location of the <br />playground was briefly discussed and determined. <br />Mr. Ryan moved to approve the plans for playground relocation for Spruce <br />Elementary School as presented. Mrs. Brown seconded and motion passed. <br />V. COMMUNICATIONS (a) Ord. 78-94 <br /> <br />Letter from Mrso Hi11, Clerk of'Council, and copies of the ordinance <br />had_been_reviewed_by-membe?rs9-=Mr. Roberts moved we approve the amend-__ . <br />ment of the zoning code of the City of North 0lmsted by changing the <br />premises therein described from class "A" high rise residential to <br />general retail business. Mr. Prokasy seconded and motion passed. <br />(b) Ord. 78-103 <br />Letter fxom Mrs. Hi11, C1erk of Council, and copies of the ordinance <br />had been reviewed by members. Ordinance provides for the amendment <br />of the zone map of the City of North Olmsted which zone map is part <br />of the zoning code of the City of North Olmsted by changing the <br />premises therein described from limited-industrial-to "B" residential. <br />Mrs. Brown moved to approve the ordinance. Mr. Prokasy seconded and <br />motion passedo <br />VIo NEW BUSINESS <br />Mre Rafeld regretfully stated he must resign as Chairman of the Planning <br />Commission as, effective September l, 1978, he has accepted a position <br />in New Jersey and will be moving out of the area.
