The area, being basically residential, ? <br />should remain so. ;. <br />3. Best use of the area is for residential <br />and is economically feasible for this <br />purpose. <br />4. The adding of general retail business <br />zoning to the present acreage increases <br />the imbalance which presently exists and <br />this thought is supported by the Regional <br />Plannino Commission report dated 6/6/78 <br />(and which is a part hereof.) The members <br />of the Planning Commission concur that such <br />a principle is contrary to good planning. <br />-2- <br />Mr. Bugala moved that we disapprove Developers Diversified <br />, request for re-zoning from a"Class A" single residence to <br />. general business. Mr. Roberts seconded and motion passed. <br />VI. NEW BUSINESS <br />R0 b <br />Mr. Powers recommended to Council that they recognize Mrs. Virginia Hodoins, <br />Past Secretary, for her many years of .dedicated service to the Boards of the city <br />of North Olmsted. It was agreed that a letter be sent to her and Mr. Rafeld will <br />draft this letter. Mr. Rafeld seconded and motion passed. <br />Mrs. Brown moved that the Planning Comnission'recess for the month of August <br />in following the tradition of recessing the same month as Council.
