Betty Lord wi11 advise if voted on Tzesday night. Steve had informed <br />Betty tha.t Landmark sign is ready to go. Discussion followed regarding dedication - to <br />be done as soon as possible - maybe in conjunction t,rlth a tree lighting ceremony in <br />front of City Ha11. This matter will be xnarsued & hopefu7ly start an annual t.ree-lighting <br />ceremony in our city. <br />Betty also advised the three site markers have been ordered from Colwnbv.s; she has received <br />a call and everything is in order. R,egarcling'a slide presentation Betty Lord informed us Dick Kohari.ck has a prior obligation <br />and can not do the photographing, but wi11 help out in maki.ng slid.es from photos and zai11 <br />help -vrith the gresenta-tion. As far as supplies are concerned we t•rM buy necessary i-tems <br />and get reimbursed for them. Eusbands of Betty Lord and Maxlene Orzechowsla wi7_l assist <br />h the photographing. Zois V'anAuken brought pictures she had taken and slides t•ri11 be <br />s of tfem (about 12). . <br />Discussion followed regarding planning of fu-tvre programs primarily our plaquing of <br />houses (pre 1900). Ctu.ide lines must be se-t up. We will be in touch wi.th tihe ZtJestern <br />Reserve and Hudson Historical Society, and possibly other groups, to obtain information <br />as to haw theix plaquing program is carried out -Who does the research, Z,'ho has final <br />detertTri.nation' etc. etc. We are considering these early homes being desi.grated as <br />Settler. homes as opposed to Pioneer ??6?-Zr?•:?.
