Ro31 Call <br />Secretary Evanoff called the meeting to order at 8:10 p.m. N1re Zurawski called <br />the roll. <br />Present: Secretary Evanoff, Messrs. Zurawski, Roberts and Prokasy. <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner Gundy, Law Director Gareau, City Engineer <br />Childs and Recording Secretary Hodginse <br />II. Review and Correction of Minutes <br />11ro Roberts corrected his motion in Item III (a) second paragraph to read "per- <br />cent of color of brick" (adding the word "brick"). Mr. Roberts moved minutes <br />of April 26 meeting be approved as corrected. Mr. Zurawski seconded and motion <br />passed. <br />III. Building Department Requests <br />(a) Mr. Gundjr reintroduced plans for Mr. Jiffy Building, 27529 Lorain Rd. Re- <br />quest is for ttao additional parking spaces. After study of plans and <br />lengthy discussion Mr. Prokasy moved to approve the request for Mre Jiffy <br />Building with amendments - space at westerly end shall set back 7 fteto <br />approximately 40 fte, setback at easterly end for planter per corrected <br />drawing. Mr. Zurawski seconded and motion passed unanimously. <br />(b) NIr. Gundy presented plans for Magic Pan, Inc. Restaurant. Mr. Roberts <br />moved to refer Magic Pan, Inc. plans to Architectural Board of Review. <br />Mro Zurawski seconded and motion passed unanimously.. <br />N: New Developments and Subdivisions <br />(a) Tallwood Subdivision - Change in Plans to Provide Chain Barricade across <br />Ranchview Ave. Entrance. <br />Mr. Childs explained that it is the request of Building, Zoning and Develop- <br />ment Committee of Council that there be a change in plans of Tallwood Subdi- <br />vision to include cYiain barricacie at extension of Ranchview Ave. north. The <br />street is to be available to emergency vehicles only (firemen and policemen <br />taill be carrying keys).' He further explained he had consulted both the Fire <br />Dept.and.the Police Dept.. and they agree they can live with this situation. <br />Posts for the chain are to be behind the curbs on both sides-. Commissioners <br />stated this is a total change from the original plan; they noted the extreme <br />length of the cul de sac. After further discussion Nir. Prokasy moved to <br />place Change in Plans of Tallwood Subdivision in committee and to refer to <br />Safety Director and Service Director for a report. Mr.. Roberts seconded and <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />(b) Vienna Woods Subdivision Improvement Plans <br />Mr. Childs distributed plans for 11 Yots on U'alter Rds with a 12th lot to be <br />undersize and variarice to be requested. Sanitary and storm drainage mere dis- <br />cusse6. J.. Nichols, 3858 -Vialter Rd-. suggested all lots be made of equal size; <br />C. Vick, 3872 ?rdalter Rd.. had other questions. Mr. Prokasy moved to approve <br />Vienna ?,?Ioods Improvement Plans #l•. Nlr...Zurawski seconded and motion passed. <br />Mro Prokasy moved to send Zoning Board a letter recommending close study of <br />Vienna Zrloods Subdivision request for variance on lot size or sizes to reduce <br />size per plan recently presented-.
