CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />May 24, 1977 <br />I. Roll Call <br />Vice Chairman Rafeld called the meeting to order at 8:15 pom. <br />Present: Messrs. Rafeld, Evanoff, Nee, Roberts, Zurawski and Mr. Tischler came <br />in later. Law Director Gareau, Councilmen Fairfield and Zr-Jilamosky. <br />II, Review and Correction of Minutes <br />In Item (d) on Page 2 Nr. Zura?aski wishes to add "plans as changed were incor- <br />rect as far as dimensions and bearingst: Section V. (b) should read "Copy of <br />(4) (f) statement". Mr. Evanoff moved to accept minutes of May 10 as correct- <br />ed. Mr. Zurawski seconded and motion passed. <br />III. Building Department Requests - No Items <br />TV. New Developments and Subdivisions - No Items <br />V. Communications <br />(a) Letter from Safety Director re proximity of golf courses to Kings Court S/D <br />(b) Letter from Safety Director re chain barricade across Ranchview Aveo <br />(c) Zetter from Police Chief re chain barricade across Ranchview Aveo <br />(d) Letter from Service Director re chain barricade aeross Ranchview Ave. <br />VI. New Business ? No Items <br />VII. Committee Reports - Mr, Zurawski reported he has received no notifications of <br />meetings of Landmarks Commission. <br />VIII. Old Business <br />(a) Tallwocd <br />P4ro Evanoff gave explanation of action taken at last meeting. Letters (b) <br />(c) and (d) above were read by Vice Chairman Rafeldo All l.etters are of <br />objection to the proposed barricade for various reasons. Councilman Fair- <br />field spoke in favor of the barricadea Planning Commission Chairman Tisch- <br />ler said he was originally in favor of 2 accesses to the proposed subdivi- <br />sion - 1 from Canterbury and 1 from Ranchview. The barricade would create <br />a 2000 fto long cul de sac. After further discussion Mr. Tischler moved <br />to reject the proposal of chain barricade as a part of the plans for Tall- <br />wood subdivision. Mr. Roberts seconded, and motion passed unanimously. <br />(City Engineer Childs is now present). <br />(b) King;s Court Subdivision <br />Carl Andreano came before the Commission and explained revised plans.There <br />has been relocation of parts of the go1.f courses and some of the proposed <br />c3wellingso Mr. Tischler read letter (a) above. Letter cites other simi- <br />lar situations and precautions takenm After short discussion Mr. Zurawski <br />moved to approve preliminary plans for King's Court Subdivison dated May <br />24, 1977. Mr. Evanoff seconded and motion passed unanimously. <br />IX. ADJOURNMENT <br />NTr. Roberts moved to excuse the absence of Mr. Prokasy. Mr. Nee seconded and <br />motion passed.
