Roll Call <br />Chairman Frokasy called the meeting to order at 8:10 p.m. <br />Present: Chairman Prokasy, Secretary Tischler, Messrs. Rafeld, <br />Nee and Freeh. <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner Gundy, Law Director Gareau, <br />Assistant City Engineer McDermott and Recording <br />Secretary Hodgins. <br />II. Review and Correction of Minutes <br />Item (f) second paragraph the words "Engineer Childs" to be de- <br />leted. In the same paragraph Mr. Rafeld's motion was as foll.ows: <br />"Mr. Rafeld moved to recommend to Council the plan for acquiring <br />Spruce School Site:" PJJr°. Rafeld moved to accept the minutes as <br />corrected. Mr. Tischl.er seconded and motion passeda <br />III. Building Department Requests <br />(a) Mr. Gundy presented plans for commercial building at approxi- <br />mately 24909 Lorain Rd. for Lorain Trisket Sales and Service. <br />Mr, Gates, representing the owner, appeared before the Commis- <br />sion. A 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. operation is planned for sale of lawn <br />mowers, riding motaers, bicyles and power saws. Total frontage <br />is 214 ft. Lq. ft. area of proposed building is 9600. Park- <br />ing layout, plantings, setbacks, etc. were studied. There are <br />-two dwellings on the property. T-Pxisting garage is to be torn <br />down. After discussion Mr. Freeh moved to approve plan for <br />commercial building at approximately 24909 I,orain Rd. as modi- <br />fied on record print and subject to approval of Engineering <br />Department. Mr. Tischler seconded and motion passed. <br />IVe Old Business - No Items <br />V. New Developmer,tr, and Subdivisions <br />(a) Parkwa;r Country Club Rezoning Request - North off Lorain Rd. <br />Z,dest of Barton Rd. <br />Mr. McDermott distributed site plans and parcel layout. Nhr. <br />Kanareff appeared before the Commission. He gave background <br />of property ownershipo There are three types of zoning in <br />the parcel. His request is to rezone to residential. There <br />is B zoning in the area. Approximately 47 acres are in the <br />parcel with 45 to be rezoned; to accommodate 126 homes. Af- <br />ter discussion Mr. Freeh moved to place Parkway Country Club <br />Rezoning Request in Committee pending further study. Mr. Ra- <br />feld seconded and motion passed.
