Maps show 1ot as it was ori- <br />ginallyo Representatives of the Church were told by State High- <br />way Department there will be three accesses to property from new <br />Route 252. Explanation of propert.y sale and history of same was <br />given by Mr. NicDermott. There is 136.ft. frontage on Butternut. <br />Ridge Rd. Driveway is in agreement; there is no road access to <br />Carey Lane. Easement right remains; that is a driveway. Mr. Tisch- <br />1er moved to approve Friends Church Subdivison. N1r. Roberts second- <br />ed and motion passed unanimously. <br />(b) Jamestown Village apartments rezoning request - east side of Col- <br />umbia Rd. north of Brookpark Rd. - 3 parcels (approximately 2 <br />acres) from C single residence district to multiple residence <br />district. <br />Mr. McDermott distributed location, zone and plat maps. Dave <br />Margolius, representing the property owner, came before the Com- <br />mission. 3 lots are in question. Mr. Margolius gave background <br />of rezoning and times of acquiring properties. Plans are for <br />maximum of 32 suites. After some discussion PZr. Evanoff moved <br />to place proposal in committee so visual inspection can be made. <br />Mr. Rafeld seconded and motion to place in committee passed. <br />(c) Kovach Subdivision - bettaeen Canterbury and Root Rds. south of <br />Byron Dr. L sub lots. <br />14r. McDermott distributed location maps. Mr. Kovacs and 22 By- <br />ron Drive residents assembled around the table. Mr. McDermott <br />explained plans. Garage building on Sub Lot 3 is non conf'orm- <br />ing and needs to be demolished, shortened or variance obtained. <br />Mr. Kovach will remove addition on garage. Ditch may have to <br />be covered at time of development. Mr. Kovach owns the entire <br />parcel. Access parcel was noted. ti,,Tith the variance as granted <br />by Zoning Board of Appeals on September 1, 1976, the subdivision <br />meets the requirements. Lots l, 2, 3 and Lt are presently one <br />lot. There were many questions from the residents present. <br />Chairman Frokasy gave history of development of the area - un- <br />usual but not improper or illegal. k 60 ft. right of way for <br />road (access on Canterbury) is required. Mr. Tischler spoke <br />of his dislike of L shaped subdivisions. After further discus- <br />sion Mr. Roberts moved to approve Kovach subdivision with the <br />provision 3.8 fts be removed from garage on Sub Lot 3 to make <br />it conforming. Mr. Rafeld seconded and motion passed tiaith Mr. <br />Evanoff abstaining from the vote. <br />(d) Gibson Rezoning Request for proposed Tallwood Subdivision - west <br />off Root Rd. south of Byron Dr. - approximately 22 acres - from <br />A single residence district to B single residence District. <br />Mr. McDermott distributed maps showing existing and proposed <br />zoning. Map contains part of area considered in last item. <br />Chairman Prokasy read that part of the code which pertains to <br />measurements for A and B zoning. Dave Gibson of Gibson Part- <br />ners distributed subdivision plans to Planning Commission mem- <br />bers. Planned are entrances from Canterbury and Ranchview.
