LASIDK?J?KS C0NII4ISSION <br />AttiY 10, 1976 <br />I Ro12 Call <br />Nick Del Giudice called the meeting to order at 8:15 P.M. <br />Present: ATick Del Giudice, Dennis Tischler, Mamie Albright, <br />Lois Van buken, Richard Fetzer and James Redovian. <br />II Trees <br />Nick Del Giudice indicated that he has recieved an inquiry <br />whether the Landmarks Commission has jurisdication over <br />trees. <br />The Ordinance was reviewed and a discussion followed. <br />It was moved and seconded that it be the Commission's <br />interpretion of the ordinance that its jurisdication <br />does not extend to trees. Motion passed. <br />Richard Fetzer suggested that questions concerning trees <br />be referred to the Early Settlers Association. <br />III Regulations <br />Councilman Janet Saringer is now present. <br />It was agreed that one of the first actions of the Commission <br />should be the establishment of a procedure for listing <br />North Olnsted land.marks pursuant to the ordinance. <br />It was pointed out that Clevel?nd has a nine (9) step <br />procedure which apparently works well. <br />Janet Saringer agreed to attempt to obtain a copy of,Clevelandes <br />detailed procedures for distribution to Commission members <br />prior to the next meeting. <br />Nick Del Giudice agreed to invite Mr. Gaede of the Cleveland <br />Landmarks Conmission to the next meeting. <br />IV Nominations <br />rlamie Albright pointed out the numerous old North Olmsted <br />buildings listed in the Heritage Weekend booklet published <br />by the North Olmsted Aaericar_ Revolution Bicentennial <br />Commission, Inc. <br />Richard Fetzer expressed his personal opinion that at <br />least initially no more than about four houses should be <br />designated as Landmarks. <br />A d:19-,ussion followed of the resrictions which are imposed <br />upon designated Landmarks. <br />V Louisville Case <br />It was ointed out that on Januaxy 16, 1976 the Jefferson <br />County fKentucky) Circiut Court ruled that a 1973 ordinance <br />estabZishing the Louisville Landmarks Commission was un- <br />constitutional.
