199-. <br />MINUTES OF AliEETING OF THE PLANNING CONKISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF IJORTH OLMSTED9 OHIO HELD <br />ALGUST lq, 1953 <br />Meeting adjourned at 10:00 P.M. <br />Present were Aiessrs. Votava, Chairrnan, C.J. Oviatt, J.Owens? JeEsgar, <br />and L. Harris. <br />The nu.nutes of July 1, 1953 Vrere read and approved. <br />Nr. Charles Neubauer presented a proposed plat for a subdivision on <br />tidal+er and Oessner roa.ds for N.F. Molnar. Parts of the subdivision <br />did not meet ti•jith ordinance restrictions and there were several <br />questions concerning sewers. Further discussion was postponed until <br />a special meeting to Ue held August 24, 1953 in wl;ich Jack Cloyd, the <br />city engineer will be presente <br />Mr. Philip H. English brou;ht in a revised subdivision of the ti•dest- <br />chester Estates located between Clague hoad a.nd West 231st Street <br />and soutiz of Alexa.nder Roado The subdivision includes 25 lots. <br />T'iessrs H.R. Strauss and James Dufala from West 231st Street presented <br />a protejt signed by 71 residents from the street stating that they a.re <br />onposed to a road from the Westchest•er Estates being opened into West <br />231st Street because of the increased traffic on 11est 231st which has <br />a pavad portion only lb feet wide. <br />A inotion was make by TJIr. Oviatt and seconded by Mr. Harris that the <br />Planning Commission discuss in a private meetin; the advisabili-ty <br />of approving the p1a.t for ir,1estcY:ester Estates 4rith an opening on <br />?Iest 231st : treet. <br />Nr. Salvadore Saso appeared beiore the Plannin; Commissiona He has 6 <br />lots around the southwest coiner of Lorain and Stea.rns N.oads and he <br />wanted to have the lots rezoned for retail business. Pir. Saso was <br />advised that in order to rezone he tiaould ha.ve to put in a ioi-iral request <br />for rezoning and he would have to pay for advertizing that a hearing <br />would be helde It was recomrzlended, hoUrever, that Mre Sa,so first obtain <br />si?n?,tures from property owners within a radius of 500 feet s-tating <br />whether thef were in favor or opposed to the rezoning of the said property. <br />A mntion was raade by Nr. Ha.rris and seconded by 11r. Votava that <br />64estchester suhdivision be accepted provided that the turn around is <br />located so that the remaining propert3r will be usuable klhen the roa.d <br />is extiended and tha.t the extension of the road to West 231st Street be <br />abandoneds <br /> <br />Secr ary ?!^?
