Esgar. <br />Building Commissioner Crider and Law Directog Kitson were also present. <br />Mr, Leroy Iio :-Iarris tendered his resignation to the Planning Commission due to <br />his inability to attend meetingsm His business is taking px°actically all of <br />his time. His resio ation was reluctantly accept,ed by the Commission. <br />Mr. Hotiaard W. Broadbent tvrote a lettex° dated MaY 7., 1954, under the Carney & <br />Carney Lau.+ Offices letterhead, stating that the owners of the Lorain Road <br />tiEst2tes Subdivision havc decided to install sewers and water, then submit a <br />,bond far street pa.ving. After this is done they t,ri 1.1 reauest the City <br />Council for acceptance of street dedicatian. A letter is to be writton to Mre Broadbent by thz Pla.nning Commission, stating tha.t the contractor wil1. be re- <br />a,uired to pay the cost of a city inspector for approval of sevaer znstallationo <br />In addition it will be further emphasized that sale of 1.ots will not be perm <br />mi5si.ble until dedication of° streets is com;oleted. Bon.d fer streets is to <br />cover cost of sidewalks and p-roof of payment for a11 improvements not covered <br />by the bond for streets9 wi1.l be requix°ed. <br />'I'he fol.].oii7ng letter was received from the North Olmsted Board of Educatiora: <br />°'The North 01r?:sted Boara of Education9 at its regular meeting <br />on May 1+1 1954, accepted the offer of ths City of North Olmsted <br />for the acauisition af Northerr_ Avenue from Bui^ns Road east to <br />the property lina of the North Olmsted High Schoo].m <br />"The Board of Education is ta maintain tha.s section of Northern <br />Avenue, The techraicality of this offer to be drawn up by the <br />City Solicitor. NORTH OLMSZED BOARD OF EDUCATION <br />Ruth R. Sc:zneider0 s property at 24435 Lorain Road for r°etail business. Mr. <br />Sehneider stated that the residents are in favor of x°ezoning the er.tire remaining <br />resirlential area adjacent to lZr. Schnelder9s property for retail business.
