MINUTES OF A MEETING Or TI-E PLANNIIJG COIvi!,:ISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLt?iSTED, OHIO HELD AT $;00 P.M. <br />AUGUST 69 1954. <br />Present were MesSrs. Votava, Lei,ris, Bittel., Esgar9 Eullero <br />Building Commissionex° Crider was also present. <br />1-11cCrone Rc Fiegan presented a map of 41 lots at Columbia Road across from Cedar <br />Point, Road. Aficer some discussion they agreed to alter the proposed sub-division <br />to bring all lots up to acceptable sizee They will also corytact Engineer Cloyd <br />concerning sei,rer and water. <br />Mr. H. F. Phillip inquired about the procedure for sub-dividing an area on the <br />east side of 'nTaa,i.ter Road. He l-ras told the requirements, and he now plans to <br />check with engineers on the cost required f or the land improvement. <br />Tlr, Dan Benuslca presented a plat for additional sub-divisaon of four lots in his <br />llan Benuska sub-division. The subm-division was approved. <br />Mr. Stazione presented a proposed plat for 36 lots west of Stearizs Roade The <br />size of a few lots rea,uired an increase to come up to mi.nimum standards of the <br />zoning ordinance. The City Council referred a petition to the Planning Commission, asking that the <br />area bounded bJ Columbia, Lorain, Kennedy Hidge and Whitethorn Roads be rezoned <br />:£or multiple dwellings, and the la.nd fronting on the proposed Brookpark N.oad <br />Extension for retail businesse Because of the present uncertainity concerning the <br />buildino of this road, Mr. Bi+..tel made a motion that the_petition be held for <br />further study until after the present controversy is settled concerning whether <br />Broolspark Road will be a lima.ted access highwaye The motion was seconded <br />by Dr. Lewis and was passed. <br />, City Council also requested that the Planning Commission study the possibility of <br />rezoning Lorain Road from Barton Road to the county line for retail business. <br />A motion was made by NIr. Votava that the City Engineer be requested to make a <br />study of possible drainage in that area before the Planning Commission makes <br />any decisions concerning the rezoning. Motion was seconded by Dr. Lewis and was <br />passed. <br />Nlro Euller made a motion that the Planning Commission recommend to City Coundil <br />that they study the possibility of annexing the land to the west of North Olmsted <br />in Ridgeville Township, bounded on the north by Chestnut Ridge N.oad and the <br />west and south by the railroad - and in addition, all the area in Olrnsted Township <br />botinded on 1:he north by the Alorth Olmsted city line and on the south by the <br />railroado The motion was seconded by Nrm Esgar. ,,\ <br />? --?- <br />The meetino adjourned at 10:20 P.
