PIINUTES OF A MEEITING OF THE PLANNING COMYIISSION OF THE <br />CITY 0F NORTH 0?.MSTEDa OHIO HELD AT 8t00 P. M. <br />, MAY 8, 1956, <br />Present were llessrs. Vatava, Lewis, Esgar9 Grumney9 Hannan. <br />Mr. Harlan Sherman of the Zehman Wol.f and Sheman Construation Co, presented <br />a teni;ative plat f°or 186 lots lying south of Lorain Road near the intersection <br />of the Gleveland E1,ectric Il].uminatino easement and Lorain Road. Except <br />for t19r0 lots that were too narrow at the building l.ine, Lhe lot Zaymcut appeared <br />satisfactory. The drainage of this property was questianed and Mr. Shennan <br />was tol.ci that aletter fmm Enoineex° C1oyd' stating drainage would be allright, <br />would be required before tYze P].anning C..issaon would accept the plat. <br />Mr. Franklyn Yehl.ik presented a tentative plat for -43 lots on 0lmsted Farms <br />Submdivision Noe 29 which is an extenszon of Cha.rles Roade The develop.ment <br />also ties into Barton Road. The laJ--out of the plat appears to be satisfactory. <br />Mr. Greenfie].d of G-L Devel.opnent9 Incs and his engineers9 T°lessrs, Wheeler & <br />Phi.llip, presented a tentative plat for 116 lots lying betUreen North Porter <br />Road, Brookpar.k Rd. and Martin Drivee This area is quite flat and a pumping <br />station irould be requzred to pwnp the effluent from septic tanks and dra.in <br />ti-rater from around the footers. Some contractnal ax°rangement with the proper°ty <br />owne'rs would be required 'ca cover the cost of opera.ti.on and maintenance of <br />the pwnping stations The general lot arrangement appeared to be satisfactory. <br />Mr, Fred Isenstadt (see -inutes of April 10, 1956) appeared at the meeting to <br />state progress on his developnento There is still sorne question concerning <br />where he iz going to draino If possible he wants to drain to a 36" sewer on <br />Elm Road. <br />The Engoglia ?c Cipiti Sub-divi.sion No, 2 consisting of ZO lots on Terrace Drive, <br />east of MacKeazzie Road, was preser_ted for approvale The sub-division was agproved <br />. pending receipt of a letter frcm the City Engineer stating that drainaoe 1-uill be <br />satisfactory. <br />Mr. hoger Clingnan presented a plat consisting of 4 3 ots near the southeast <br />cornex° of Oring Rd. & Lansing Drive for appx°ovalo The sub-division was approvedm <br />Mr, Joseph Bauer presented a preliminary pla-t for 38 1.ots lying south of Whitem <br />thorne Ave. There was some questior_ conce.rning stx°eet widtho His dral-ring shawed <br />a 50 ft, streeta Either a concrete street or a 60 foot street was requested. <br />Messrs.,Joseph Lindsa4Y, Peter Krutschnitt and Richard Portmann approached the <br />Planning Comission concerning tlae possibi].ity of annexing approximate_lf 160 <br />acres south of the present city line and lyin'g Urest of Fitch Roa.do Tliis, area <br />would include a new sub--division cons2sting of about 177 lotsa No decisaons <br />were made concerning the ad.grisability of the annexation.
