MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />GF THE CITY OF NORTH OUISTED, HELD AT 8:00 P.M. <br />JANUARY 14., 1958. <br />Members present were IIessrso Votava, Grumney, Gareau, and Esgar. Mre <br />Hannan was absent. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. <br /> <br />Mr. Milan Turocy of 6006 MacKenzie owns a lot at said address with 174 <br />foot frontage and 585 feet in depth. He tiaould like to divide the lot <br />so that there vrould be a 60 foot street leading back to three 70 x 114 <br />foot lots at the rear of the parcela He was told that the proposed lots <br />were undersize and the street would have to be developed. He doesn't <br />want to develop the land himself, but would like to sell this part of <br />his property. It was suggested that he contact developers who might be <br />interested in buying this and adjoining land for development. <br />14r°a George Furrsan who owns two lots at the southeast corner of Fleharty <br />and Brookpark Roads that he would like to have rezoned for retail busi- <br />ness. A'Ir. Grumney made a motion that was seconded by Mr. Esgar that the <br />Planning Commission turn dotan Mr. Fur•man's request for rezoning because <br />it would be spot zoninge The motion passed. <br />Mr. Votava made a motion.that when the Planning Commission is assembled <br />tiaith its neVa members that the program listed in June 11, 1957 mi.nutes <br />be studied as a suggested program for future work of the Planning Commis- <br />siono The motion was seconded by Iir. Grumney. Motion passed. <br />Mr. Votava made a motion that the Planning Cornmission recom.mend to City <br />Council thati Council investigate the status of present sewer plans a.nd <br />then ask the City of Cleveland if these plans have progressed to the <br />point -that they will permit installation oi water mains in new housing <br />developments in order to continue the orderly growth of North Olmsted. <br />The motion was seconded by Mr. Esgar.
