NiINUTES -- FEBRUARY 9, 1960 -- PAGE 2 <br />financing if a 2001 buffer strip were placed separating the apartment <br />development from the Limited Industrf Area. She also stated that she <br />believed the City of North Olmsted needed more tax money and this could be <br />arrived at from the Industrial Zoned _?xea. <br />Lt this time Mro Biskind was called upon to give his views on the <br />apartment development. Nr. Biskind stated that if industry were allowed in <br />that area the value of adjacent property would be lovrer. He also stated the <br />lotaer priced housing is attracted to an industrial zoned area and generally <br />that if industry moved into that area, the large stores would not be interested <br />in building in the area near the shopping center. <br />Mr. Biskind also stated that the City would be ahead with the apart- <br />ment deVelopment as against limited industry, calling to the Plannir_g Com- <br />mission°s attention the McKay report which Yiad been previously submitted. <br />A motion iaas made by Mra Kadylaky seconded by AZr. LaPonza' that <br />a letter be sent to the Council of the City of North Olmsted to immediately <br />negotiate for access to Brookpark Road. Roll call: "Yeas" kadylak9 LaPonza' <br />Vincent, Doran, Biadas and Mongello. <br />A motion was made by Iqr. Mongello, seconded by Mr. LaPonzag that <br />the City of North Olmsted join the Regional Planning Commission and that a <br />letter be sent to Council conerning this matter for further approval. <br />Roll call: "Yeas" I{adylakg LaPonza; Vincent, Doran, Biadas and Aiongello. <br />A motion was made by Nlr. Kadylak, seconded by Mr. Doran' that a <br />recording secretary be provided for the Planning Commissione Roll calls: <br />"Yeas" Kadylak' ZaPonzag Vincent, Doran, Biadas and Mongello. <br />A motion t•ras made by Mr.Kadylaky seconded by Mr. Mongello9 that the <br />present zoning on Lorain Road be changed from multiple housing to retail <br />business. Roll calla "Yeas" Kadylak' LaPonza, Vincent, Doran' Biadas and <br />Mongello. <br />Petitions f or the rezoning of Lorain Road have been received and <br />will be forwgrded to Council along with a letter from the Planning Commission' <br />recommending to Council that Lorain Road be re-zoned from multiple housing <br />to retail business. <br />The meeting adjourned at 11:10 P.M. <br />Secretary ??
