' MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE PLANNING <br />COMMISSION - CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />October 11, 1960 <br />Present: Joseph P. Kadylak, Ballard W. Vincent, and Anthony T. LaPonza. <br />Absent: Richard Mongello, Thomas J. Doran. <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:20 P. Mo, by Chairman, Joseph P. <br />Kadylak. <br />The minutes of the meeting of September 27th, 1960, were read by Chairman <br />Kadylak and approved. <br />A letter of resignation was received from Mr. Thomas Biadas> The Planning <br />Commission regretfully accepted Mr. Biadas' resignation, and wished him <br />the best of luck in Florida. <br />LIBBY-LEE CORPORATION <br />Mr. Kleist, President of the Libby-Lee Corporation appeared before the <br />Commissiona The requested changes had been made, and a linen is to be <br />prepared and resubmitted to the Planning Commission for approval. <br />VARCAN SIIBDIVISION <br />Mr. Varady requested sublot No. 70 be rezoned to multiple dwelling. The <br />City Engineer has requested that Michael Avenue be extended to a point <br />where a 60 foot street, parallel to Brookpark Road, with 180 ft, on each <br />side, could be locateda The Planning Commission is to write to Mr. Varady <br />requesting the intent relative to the area blocked out in black in <br />conjunction with Sublot No. 700 <br />REZONING - KENNEDY RIDGE ROAD <br />A plan, requesting rezoning of the South side of Kennedy Ridge Road, bordered <br />on the East by Columbia Road, at the intersection of Mastick Road, for':garden <br />type apartments, was presented by Mr. John Fredrick. He also requested that <br />the area on the Southeast corner of the plot plan be rezoned to permit <br />the erection of a gasoline station. Discussion ensued relative to the <br />inclusion of a gasoline station in that area. It was unanimously agreed <br />by the Planning Commission and the Safety Director, Mr. 4dilson, that it <br />would be a safety hazard; however, a committee consisting of Mr. LaPonza <br />and Mr. Vincent will investigate the area to determine whether or not <br />the area is suitable for garden type apartments, and will so notify <br />Mr. Frederick, in writing, the results of their findings. <br />REZONING - 24005 LORAIN ROAD <br />An investigation was made relative to rezoning of property located at <br />24005 Lorain Road, for use as a Trailer Park, Trailer Sales, and a Heating <br />Company, and it was determined that it would not be suitable for such purposes; <br />however, Mra Mongello is to contact the County Auditor°s bffice for <br />information as to probable revenue from such a development. <br />It was moved by Mr. Kadylak, seconded by Mr. LaPonza, that a letter be sent <br />to the Council of the City of North Olmsted recommending that the present <br />Zoning Map be amended and that the Engineer be authorized to proceed <br />immediately with same.
