MINUTES OF A PLANNING CONAIISSION MEETING
<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED - JANUARY 24, 1961
<br />Present were: Richard Mongello, Anthony T. LaPonza, Ballard W. Vincent, Donald
<br />Ford, Leslie Macs, and Ralph Kelley.
<br />Absent: Joseph P. Kadylak,
<br />In the absence of Mr. Kadylak, the meeting was called to order at 8:15 P.M., by
<br />Secretary Mongello.
<br />The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved,
<br />

<br />BROOKPARK REZONING
<br />In regard to the rezoning of Brookpark Road, a motion was made by Mr. Vincent
<br />seconded by Mr. Ford, to recommend to Council that Council take steps to
<br />turn this land area back to multiple dwelling, adopting a form similar to
<br />that section of the Cleveland Ordinances read to the Commission. "Yeas"
<br />Mongello, Ford, Vincent, LaPonza, Kelley and Macs, A letter has been sent
<br />to Council concerning this matter.
<br />DOUBLE-FACED SIGN
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Vincent, seconded by Mr. Mongello, to reject this
<br />proposal for a double-faced sign as stated on the conditions that they didn't
<br />meet the sepecifications with the first sign, and if this land is rezoned,
<br />the sign will be illegally erected. "Yeas" Mongello, LaPonza, Vincent, Ford,

<br />LIBBY-LEE SUBDIVI SION
<br />A letter was read from Mr. Kleist asking that blocks A& B be rezoned for
<br />apartment use, within one year from this date, and if it was not rezoned,
<br />Libby-Lee would be released from all committments on this property. A motion
<br />was made by Mr. LaPonza, seconded by Mr. Kelley, recommending rezoning of
<br />blocks A& B to multiple dwelling. "Yeas" Mongello, Vincent, LaPonza, Ford,
<br />Kelley, Macs.
<br />OHIO SHORES SUBDIVISION
<br />On the recommendation of the City Engineer, a motion was made by Mr. Ford,
<br />seconded by Mr. LaPonza, to approve the Ohio Shores Subdivision. "Yeas"
<br />Mongello, LaPonza, Vincent, Ford, Kelley, Macs.
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Mongello, seconded by Mr. Macs, to send a letter to
<br />Council informing them that the Planning Commission is in favor of rezoning
<br />the entire length of Lorain Road due to the fact that they have 95% of the
<br />signatures of the land owners. This would include both sides of the street
<br />and would extend 500 feet with 250 ft, corner lots. "Yeas" Mongello, Ford,
<br />LaPonza, Vincent, Kelley, Macs.
<br />A motion was made by Mr. LaPonza, seconded by Mr. Mongello to adjourn the
<br />meeting. "Yeas" Mongello, LaPonza, Vincent, Macs, Kelley, Ford. The meeting
<br />adjourned at 10:20 P.M.
