Byers, Graene, Kl.inite, Morgan and Smith. <br />Members absent: None. <br />Also present: Mr. Ernest J. Gunc3,y, Building Commissioner. <br />Minutes of December 4, 1962 meeting were read and approved. <br />1. Proposed Nlotor Hotel to be built on <br />? the South Side of Lorain Rd. between Clague and W. 232nd St., East of <br />Krogertso -Parcel 237-9°2 & 3o <br />Mr. Gundy, Building Commissioner, asked for the Board's interpretation <br />of the tem "Motor Hotel't in connection with the above appl.ication. <br />1 ? <br />:,J <br />Proposed building is a 2-1/2 sto=y lOl family building consisting of efficiencyp <br />one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites. Building cannot be called an apartment be- <br />cause it has less than the square footage requireds According to State La.w, <br />transient occupancy is for periods of no more than 30 days. Owner advises that <br />occupancy of his suites will prodably be more tha.n for 30 day periods; occupancg <br />will be on a month to month or week to week basis, but with no leasing provisions* <br />The Boa.rd has studied all pertinent paragraphs of Zoning ord. 62-33 passed <br />June 19, 1962 and concludes that inasmuch as apartments will have no le g <br />provisions, building conforms to the Ordinance as listed under Hotel ? <br />HoEel partment", or 1114otel«, pages 9 and 11. It is the Board!s opinion <br />that the building can be properly called ?'Motor-Hotelit or "tApart,ment-Hotel". <br />See Page 44, Item 7, Bection 1171a02., Permitted Buildings and Uses. This Section of the Ordinance would permit the occupancy as proposed. <br />The Board was unanimous in the above conclusions and instructed the Building <br />Commissioner to issue the permit after consultation with our Law Director, <br />Mz°.
