Gundy, Bui_lding ConLmissioner <br />Others as listed under Appel? a.nts. <br />Minutes of February 18' 1964 Special Nleeting were read and approved. <br />la Appellant: Mr. Peter Spontelli, 22860 Haber Dr., Parkview, phio. <br />Reference: Request for permit to erect a sign in excess of the <br />maxirnum square footage area as set iorth in the Zoning <br />Ord. of the City of North Olmsted, Ord. 62933 passecl <br />June 19, 1962, Sub-Chapter 1225,02 <br />Appellant proposes the erection of a standard Donald Duck insignia pjr].on sign <br />for the advertising of a proposed 'fDogs n Suds Drive-Tn" business to be <br />located at 25054 Lorain Road, N. Olmsted, Ohico <br />This standard sign is the trade mark carriecl out thru the ccuntry and is part <br />of the franchise for this particular business. Appellant proposes to install the <br />srnall est , sign possible, but footage needed will be approl:imately 65 square feet. <br />This footage covers t he entire sign. The Donald Duck insigrLia alone is 50 <br />square feet. Lettering belovT is also in excess of the 25 square feet permitted <br />under the Codeo <br />14rs, John L. Bartley, 25143 Loz-ain RdE, and Mrs. Hendersor_, 25149 Lo-rain Rd. <br />advised that they had driven by the Dogs and Suds Drive In on Rt. #82 to see type <br />of sign, and aclvised -that they did not find type ancl size of sign objectionable. <br />Nrs. Greene, 25069 Lora;n Rde objected to the sigii and type of business. <br />Mr. -Rotiert I3ieh1, 25045 Lorain and Mrs. Phyllis Greene, 25069 Lorain, questioned <br />brilliance cf lighting; Mrs. Diehr, 25195 Lorain and Mr. Vanderzyden of 25139 Lorains <br />questicned tra,ffic hazard both as to school children and fire station.
