<br />Mre Ks,dylak attended the Ohio Iiome Builders Convent3on and gave the following report to the
<br />Commission on the events which took plaee at this meetingm
<br />Report No. 1 was a poseible way of obtaining or setting aside future
<br />recreation or school Bites, which werem
<br />l. Choose the necessary sites to the satisfaction of council and/or school board.
<br />2. If posaible have them fncor,porated on a master city ma,p.
<br />3. The city would not permit a bie in of sanitary or stox°m facilities in theee areas.
<br />4, The Planning committees would not approve plans into these dreab'izmiess the sub-
<br />division would be engineered around them or make proper faci].ities for them.
<br />N'sa Kadylak reported that after talking to sevexal planning men in various sectiona of the
<br />atate, they were all in agreement that proper legie3ation or ordinaneea can be adopted for
<br />the purpose of acquiring recreation or achool ground ax°eas, which follows

<br />Hia aecond report was from the Ohio Tu.rnpike Commiasion on the number of entries and exita
<br />from Interchange 9 in which he gave the nuniber of nehicles entering and exiting from thia
<br />interchangea Comparing the firat nine months of 1963, iaith a total of 1,350,158a as com_
<br />pared with 1,235,267 for the sarae period of 1962, it ahowed an increaae of 9,3%p with more
<br />cara entering from interehange 9 than exiting. Ae a2so reported for the year 1963 a total
<br />of 932,369 vehiclea entex°iaig and 841.950 exiting, or a total of 1,774,319 for the year.
<br />Mr. Vincent gaoe the following report frotn his meeting with the school board in regard to
<br />the necessary 3and needed in North Olmsted in Qarious locations where there is a large
<br />concentration of building for echaol a,n.d recreational facilities. After raach discutision
<br />between the Commission, members of Council present, and Mra Biakind who ie directly
<br />affected by this prdpooal, it wae moved by Mr. Vincent, seconded hy Mr. LaPonza9 that the
<br />zoning ordinance be ameaded as followse t°That in a preplanned area of 100 single homes or
<br />more where consideration lias been given for vehicle ingress and egreas to recrea.tional
<br />and achool areas by the developer and theee areas are contingent upon endF.m'?paft-r,of::this
<br />greul.ann@d axea, the lot size may be reduced in frontage from 80 feet to 70 feet biit all
<br />muat conform to preseat setbacka and required area for 70 foot lots. The land accruing

<br />stated that in the Stearns Road area where Mr. Biskind is propoaing such a, development,
<br />and where a school is needed, Mr. Biskind would be willing to deed 10 acres to the
<br />sehool board and 2 acres to the City for recreational purposes for $1.00 or that vahich
<br />may be legal.
<br />In regard to a proposed site for a new city hall in the Nortla Olmsted park, Mr. gadylak
<br />reported that he had checked the deeds and as far back as 1912 there were no deed re-

<br />Mr. Frank Hausman of Park Tower, Iuc., preaented the Commission with a proposal for 60
<br />suite gaxden type apartment development loeated on Lorain Ftoad next to N1aldo"s Nursery
<br />being the parcel of° Mr. and Mrs. Pelleeh formerly presented by Mr. Bellano including 2
<br />buildings, one with 4-two bedroom auitea and 4-one bedroom suites, and the other with
<br />8-tvao bedroom and 4-one bedroom suites. This was a mew proposal and after discuesion
<br />with Mx°. Hausman/ it was moved by Mr. Kadarlak, secogded by Mro Ford, to put this into
