City <br />Engiaeer Bichard I,abas, Safety-Service Director Del Lirapert, and Councilman <br />Johai West, <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:30 P.M. by Chairman Macs. <br />The minutes oF the previous meeting were read and approPed se reade <br />Another correction to the minutes of January 28 was the inaertion of the followinge flTVith <br />no other corrections or additioneo the minutes were approaed as read. <br />A notice from Council was read in regard to two meeti:.ge which have been set up, one for <br />March 10 with Council, I'la.nning Comniseion. City Engineer, and a prieate planner, Wme Brown, <br />and the other for 14arch 24, with Council, PZa,nning Commiesion and the director of Regional <br />Planning. <br />9IVIE1IDMENT TO 3ECTION 1225.02 of ORDINANCE 62-33 <br />An amendment to Section 1225.02 of Ordinance 62-33, the Zoning Code of the City oP Idorth <br />Olmated, as it relates to the size of signs in general retail business districts and adding <br />a new paragraph (/G) to the said section 1225.02 was read. This would add "that no eign <br />will be extended above the rooF screene" After disaussion it was moved by Mr. La.'onza, <br />aeconded'by Mr. Ford, to recommend to Couacil the approval of this propoeed amendment <br />as writteno YEAS LaPonza, Fordfl Prokasy, Mac$p V3acent, Foltzo <br />FHANK MOSS -(Fairway Land Company - Tree I,ane Subdivision Noo 2) <br />A communication was read from Mr. Peter Rzepka requesting.that the 50 foot minimum building <br />aetback line as shown on the plat be removed from the plat and a reconmendatioa be made for <br />a 35 foot setback line. Mr. Frank Moss, attorney representing the developer, was present at <br />the meeting to present this proposal. Mr. gitchen, Law Director, advised A4r. Moas and the <br />Commission that this would first have to go to Counc3l and then Couacil would refer it back <br />to the Commiesion for action. <br />PARK TOWER. INC. - FBANK HAU5W <br />In a report from the committee it was recommended that this plat be approved contingent upon <br /> approrral by the acting fire chief and that the center island be moved back from the street <br /> 12 to 2 car lengths and that the 1 foot grassed area between the retail business area and <br /> the multiple dwelling area shall not be cut through. After discussion, it was moved by Mr. <br /> LaPonza, sec onded by Mr. Foltz, to approve this propoaal contingent upon the center islazid <br /> being moved back from the atreet 12 to 2 car lengths and that no curbs should be cut but <br /> the one foot grassed area betwee n the retail business area and the multiple dwelling aa°ea <br /> shall remain as a grassed areao YEAS IaPonza, Foltz, Prokasy, Ford, Macs, Vincento <br />TALP SUBDIgISION <br />Talp Subdivision, located off Walter Road and consieting of 37 eublote was again presented <br />by Mr. Andreano. After studys the Commission recommend.ed to approve this aa submitted.
