.CITY OF NORTH OLINISTED - BOARD OF ZONiNG ADP.EALS <br />SPECIAL y1EETING HELD AT THE CITY HALL - N1ARCH 16, 1965 <br />Meeting called to ordEr at 7e45 p.m. <br />Members present: Messrs. Klsnite, Byers, Nlss. Biane <br />Members absent: Messrsm Greene, Schmitt <br />Also present: Mr. Gundy, Building Commissioner <br />Others as listed under appellant <br />Mr. Klinite read a letter from the IVorth Olmsted Charter Commission, <br />in which the Board members were asked to submit any suggested alterations <br />and other revisions of the City Cliarter which they may have, £or the next <br />Board meeting in Aprilm Mr. Gundy said he would have copies of the char- <br />ter mailed to each member of the Board of Zoning Appeals for review. <br />Mr. Gundy presented to the Board revised plans £or the Derin Dodge <br />Agency sign, which will have dimensions less than the limits specified in <br />the b4arch 9, 1965 variance granted by the Board, <br />1. Appellant: Mr. Vincent K. Lyncii, 2194 Olive avenue, Lakewood, Oe <br />Ref: Request for variance (1133.13) to build a single dwelling with <br />detached garage on sublot 53, 4357 Danberry Drive, North Olmsted, <br />with 15' side yards, in violation of Section 1161.01 of the <br />Zoning Ordinance, vuhich stipulates 20' side yard measurements. <br />Mrm Vincent expl.ained that since he had learned of the side yard <br />requirements being twenty feet, he had his arcnitect alter the plans for <br />his home, so that his side yards would be seventeen feet, and the variance <br />request would be for three feet instead. Because of the odd shane of the <br />lot, he plans to have the house set back 70 feet. I-Ie himself will do much <br />of the construction work, and as such, wi11 be able to build a home with <br />a value in excess of the hou.ses likely to be adjacent to it in the future. <br />A1so present were Messrs. Paul Abbott, 4356 Georgette Avenue and Howard <br />Berkey, 4380 Georgette Avenue, who questiened the locations of the driveway <br />and proposed garage. Both seerned satisfied that the garage would not be <br />as close to their pronerties as tney expected, and the driveway couJLd not <br />be located on the opnosite side of the house. <br />Nirse Eiaxi moved to grant the variance for tnree feet, with north side <br />line measurement of twelve feet and soutn side line measurement oi five <br />feetm Mr. Byers secondedo Vote was unanimous. <br />Meeting adjourned at S: 30 p,m. <br />? <br />Ch airm a-La <br />?f. <br />S etary
