Klinite, Byers, Schmitt, Greene, Mrs. L-ian <br />Also?present: Mro Gundy, Building Commissioner <br />Others as listed under appellant <br />1'he secretary noted that the minutes of the lipril 7 meeting did not include <br />Mrm Gundy among those present, and the minutes were accepted as corrected. <br />le Appellant; Lewis Estates, Ince, 5581 R.idge Road, parma Heights, Ohio. <br />Refo Request for variance (1133a13) to build an apartment project at <br />permanent parcel #232-12-1 Lorain Road, with a proposed density <br />of 21 suites per acre, in violation of Zoning Ordnance 62-33, <br />Chapter 1157, which stipulates maximum apartment density of 18 <br />suites pex acreo <br />Mrm Klinite preceded the general discussion by saying that he had been <br />informed by various City administratioxi officials that the apartment <br />suite densgty per acre had been established in 1957 as fourteen, and <br />revised in 1962 to eigliteen units per acre, based on maximum sanitary <br />sewer capacity. , <br />NIr. Areien Wright represented LettiTis Estatese Interested property owners <br />present were Messrs. Hillenbrand, Gat-chel, Schultz, Lauer, Daniels and <br />Cemanec, and Mrs. Froeli.cil and Nirs. Daniels. Mrs. Eian questioned the <br />total number of acres involved, and Mro LVright said 5e75 acres had been <br />allotted for apartment development, with one acre set aside for other <br />uses, but that, if 6.75 total acres were considered, the apartment <br />density would Ue approximately 19 per acres <br />Mrs. Froelich opposed the request, saying she felt the one acre on <br />Lorain P.oad not included in the apartment plans might overload the <br />sewer system when something else is built on it. Mr. Gundy commented <br />t:nat some other businesses, sucn as a bar or motel9 w:nich coulci be <br />built on the property, might ?mpose a grea-ter burden on the sanitary <br />sewers tnan the apartznent project, and that the city engineer might <br />h ave to be consulted to ascertain maximum sewer capacity.
