Page 2, August 4, 1965 <br />Request is in violation of Zoning Ordinance 62-33, Chapter 1151.01 <br />• Sub Sec. (E) which states in A, B and C Residence Districts land may <br />be used and builclings or structures may be designed, built, altered <br />or used for places of wo-rship, provided there is issued by the Zoning <br />Board a Special Permit. <br />The Rev. Ben Hope represented his church. He said that at present the number of <br />families in the church is srrall and that two services a week are held. A parking <br />1ot is planned of gravel and limestone. Mr. Stephen Nfuran oi 4106 Columbia Rd., <br />commented that this might create a dust problem for him if parking lot is at side <br />of the home to be used for worshipo Mr. Smatta of 4115 Golumbia asked when <br />sanctuax°y would be built and the answer was one and a half -to two years, Mr. <br />Smatta suggested putting a time limit on temporary use of tkm home. <br />Mr. Macs of Clagu.e Rd. said he had observed where churches came into an area' value <br />of neighbors' property had increased, lir, T1enk of 4067 Columbia thought one year <br />might not be enough time for the erection of a permanent building. The xev. Mr. <br />Hope commented that the Church Architectura]. Department of the Southern Baptist <br />Convention is at present drawing plans for the building. <br />Mr. Greene moved that a Use Permit be granted' proqided parking be limited to the <br />rear of the main building., that 1.inhting in tne parking lot not be a nuisance to <br />the neighbors, that lights be properly shaded9 and that this permi-t be granted for <br />a period of eighteen months.
