Diacussior_ ensued and it was moved by <br />Mr. Prokasy, seconded by Mr. Ford_, to keep this in committee until <br />a report from the City Engineer in-regard. to this plan. YEAS Ford, <br />LaPonza, Prokasy, Musial, Fabek, Spaldingm Committee -- Ford.. <br />p1rm Musial left the meeting at this point. <br />COMNNIIICATTONS <br />A communication v1as reaci_ from the Clerk -of Council regarding Ordinance <br />65-177, the High Rise.Ordinance regarc?ing Westerly Towers. The City <br />Engineer requested that action on this be held until the next meeting. <br />It was moved by l'1r. Spalcling, seconded by Niro Fabek, to refer this <br />to commit.tee for studyo YEAS SPalding, Fabek, Ford, LaPonza, Prokasy <br />Corrmittee Fabek <br />Copies oi communitations were reacl in regard to the rerouting of <br />Columbia Road as it vroulcl affect the John Knox Church A copy of <br />a letter seni, August 20, 1965, to Mr. Sgi:Lburg from John Knox Church <br />and a copy of a communication froni the architect to the church re- <br />questing that this proposed relocation be at least 25 feet !1est of <br />the property line in orc;er that the Ghurch can foll.ow their original <br />builaing plans. <br />A Turnpike Report was received and filed. <br />The July and August Building Department reports were.redeived and <br />filed. <br />Reports vTere presented to members from Carroll V. Hil1 and Regional <br />Planning Commission in regard to the proposed master plan. The cost <br />of the study by Carroll V. Hi1.l was 08,700 and would tZlce 1$ months <br />and the cost of the study by Regional Planning was 824,500 and wt2uld <br />take 2 yearsm Discussion ensued relative to these 2 reports and no <br />action was taken at this meeting. <br />It Uras moved by tiTr. Spalc.ing, seconded bp Mr: LaPonza, that the <br />Chairman contact the Mayor to contact the 2 planners asking them to <br />attend a meeting tivhereby each :?rould come at a different time to ansvler <br />prima#ly questions on implementina, the plan that both have proposed <br />and that this meetii1g be held before the,next commission meeting at <br />i,rhich time a vote 9 no later than the next meeting, will be taken to <br />decicle which of these two plans to recommend to Council.
