? r -•--- : <br />-f r <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />April 9, 1968 <br />I: Roll Call <br />The meeting of the North Olmsted Planning Commission_was.called to order_at. <br />8:10 by Vice-Chairman Jack Esgar. Those present_were_Mssrso Jack Esgar, <br />Thomas Fabek, James Leonard, Edward Byers, Norman.Musiale_ Also..present: <br />Carl Bohm, Regional Planning Commission; Frank Dutton, City Engineer; Frank <br />Lord, Asst, Law Director; Sally Henkle, Secretaryo <br />II. Reading and Correction of Minutes <br />Mr. Leonard moved to dispense with the reading of the.minutes of.3/26/68 and <br />to approve as writtene Mr. Byers seconded the motion. Ayes: Esgar, Fabek, <br />Leonard, Byers, Musial. <br />III. Old Business <br />(a) Regional Planning Commission Report._- Mre Bohm announced.that a work <br />session will be held immediately following the meeting, <br />(b) Proposed Roadway (DiBenedetto and Brookhauser.Development) - Mr, Leonard . <br />reported that they had looked over_the.plans for.the proposed_roadway <br />and that there were a number of problems involved: 1. There is no <br />money available for the city to work with. 2e One portion of the <br />proposed roadway would be a multiple use of the land and should not <br />be considered. 3. The entry from Dover Center Road_in relation to . <br />church property located there could present..a probleme.. Mro.DiBenedetto <br />stated that he would be willing to grant an easement to the_.city on the <br />portion of land owned by him. Discussion followed regarding proper use <br />of the land, etc. Mr. Leonard_moved that the proposed_plan._for.the <br />extension of Sandy Ridge Subdivision #3 not.be accepted.. Mro Byers <br />seconded the motion. Ayes: Esgar, Fabek, Leonard, Byers, Musialo <br />IV. New Developments and Subdivisions <br />None <br />V. Communications <br />(a) Rea1 Property Inventory Report - Ohio Turnpike.traffic..and.revenue <br />(b) Notices of Commercial Plans filed with the Building Department - <br />Russell's Restaurant, 24968 Lorain Road, <br />(c) Turnpike Report <br />VI. Committee Reports <br />(a) Hospital Survey - Mre Musial.announced_that..the Mayor_plans_to_contact <br />representatives.in.the surrounding._suburbs to_form_a_steering.committeeo <br />He recommended that this committee be eliminated from the agenda.since <br />survey is now.complete. <br />(b) Sign Ordinance - Mr. Fabek announced that the citizens'..committee <br />headed by Hugh Seed and formed by Operation Face Lift_.wanted.,the.material <br />obtained thus far.and.that he would be willing.to..report..back.to.the <br />Planning Commission on any results of_work done_by this_committee. <br />Members.had no objections.to this.and Mr. Bohm stated.that Regional <br />.
