<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />October 229 1968 <br />I, Roll Ca11 <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:00 PoM, by Chairman Jack Esgare Those <br />present were Mssrso Jack Esgar, James Leonazd, Thomas Fabek, Kurt Richards, <br />Edward Byerse Also present: Mike Karhan, Acting City Engineer; J. Bruce <br />Kitchen9 Law Director9 Sally kenkle9 Secretarry, <br />II, Reading and CorYection of Minutes <br />Mro Leonard moved to dispense with the Yeading of.the minutes of the 10/8/68 <br />meeting and to approve as written; seconded by Mro Fabek and unanimously approvede <br />IIIo Old Business <br />(a) Regional Plan.ning Commission Report - Due to Mro Bohm`s absence9 no report <br />was giveno <br />(b) Pate Homes Subdivision - Mr. Esgar announced that ?ate Homes had.resubmitted <br />a plan subdividing one lot on Porter Road into two lotsa The previous plan <br />was not approved because there were three lots and one had no frontage on a <br />streeta Mra Leonard moved to accept the preliminary plan of Pate Homes <br />showing a subdivision of two lots on Porter ltoad and dated 9/68. Mro Richards <br />seconded the motione Ayeso Esgar, Leonard, Fabek, RichardS, Byerse <br />(c) Reconsideration of l.ots reserved for streets - Blossom Land Co, - Mro Fabek <br />stated that the developer has requested the release of S/T 23, S/L 109 and <br />S/L 143 that were reserved for street purposes for a three year period which <br />will be up 5/26/69o Since these lots will not ever be used for streets, he <br />would like to build on them while they are still building in the area and <br />before the sidewalks are put ine Mre Fabek stated that while he and Mro <br />L,eonax°d do not object as a committee, they feel they would be setting a <br />precedent if the lots are releasedo Mro Esgar stated that he did not see <br />any reason f'or holding the lots when iche lots don`t really go anywhereo Mro <br />Karhan stated that he could see no reason for keeping them any longera Mre <br />Byers said that he felt no precedent would be set as each case would have to <br />be considered on its own meritse r1e can see no reason to held these any <br />longe?. Mre Richards felt it was unfair to held a man up when the ultimate <br />deeiszon is already there. Mx°, Leonard asked if this couldn't go right to <br />Council without ]Planning Commission ruling on it_ Mrm Kitchen stated that <br />anythzng having to do with streets must under statute, come before the <br />Planning Commissione Mre Fabek moved that S/L 23, S/L 109 and S/L 143 be <br />released and that the builder be permitted to build on thema Nre Leonard <br />seconded the motione Ayes: Esgar9 Leonard, Fabek, Richards, Byers. <br />IV.
