A <br />` Page 2- Board of Zoning Appeals - March b, 1968 <br />large variance cauld not be considered. They will present revised plans at our next <br />meeting. Mra Greene mbved to continue the case until the 4/3/68 meeting; seconded <br />by Mrs. Eian and np-ssed. <br />5. Appellant: 'Vestview Motors., 27105 Lorain Road. Request for variance to erect <br />stringer lights along property frontage. <br />Recuest is in gi.olation of Ordinance #62-33, illumination of parking <br />lots. <br />Present: Mr. Winterfield and Mr. Ga.Ilagher from Nestview Motors9 Mr. Karl from <br />Brooks Electr3.c. <br />Mr. Winterfield explained that the lights were needed to illuminate the front of <br />his used car lot. There is space for onlg one line of cars and. Iighting is needed <br />in front of the cars. Their pla.n is to string 100 watt buZbs along four poles <br />covering a span of 138t along frontage and 1A.1 ba.ck f'rom sidewalk. The Board indicated <br />their disapproval of thiss type of Iighting and suggested lights tha,t could be shielded <br />in somemanner. The safety factor was also brought up. The appellants agreed to <br />look into another method of lighting and present revised plans. Mr. Greene moved <br />to continue the ca.so until the 4l3/6$ meeting so that more information regarding <br />better methods of lighting could be obtained. Mr. Forcellini secondec3 the motion. <br />Motion passed. <br />It wa.s announced that Brookhauser Development, who had requested a variance at Ia:st <br />month's rneeting to srect a sign in excess of the permitted square footage on Sa.xon's <br />Restaurant, 26650 Lorain Road., and who had been granted a continuance for the purpose <br />of revising their plans to smaller scale, htzd w:ithdrawn their request and had erected <br />a sign that conf.brms with the codeo <br />The meeting was adjourned at 9:05 P.M. <br />Richard Nelson, Chairman <br />Sally Henkle, Secreta.ry
