A rear yard variance.of 41 is required. . <br />Revuest is in viola.tion of Ordin?,nce #62-332 Section 1163.01 ?rhich <br />requires a 50' rear yard. <br />Present: Mr. Pintner <br />Mr. Pintner explained that he wishes to build the addition to make room for his mother <br />who is uizable to care for herself any longer. The addition would consist of a bedroom <br />a.nd additional bathroom. Mrs. Eian moved to grant a 41 variance; secQnded by Mr. <br />Forcellini and passedo <br />9. Appella.nt: Standard Oil Company. Request to erect a service station on the N.W. <br />corner of. Lorain and Barton Roads with a 321 rear yard. <br />Request is in violation of Ordinance #62-33, Section.l174.06 which <br />requires a 501 rear yard in a retail business district if any part <br />of the rear line is adjacent to a residentisl di.strict. <br />Present: Mr. Graham frorn Standard Oil Co., Mr. and 14rs. Aquir:;-,, Mr. Mora7.es., Mr. Gaxtner <br />Mr. Grah,-im explained that they FrS.sh to keep the station owner in business whiZe they <br />erect the new station and therefore they wa..nt to place it fuz"thur back on the Iot. <br />lhie to a misunderstanding with the contractor' 2/3 of the footers are already in. <br />Mr. Morales felt that the new station would 5mprove the appearance of the corner. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Aquirio stated that they did not object to the station but do object to <br />its closeness to the rear praperty line which abuts their property. It was detesmined <br />that the building coul.d :be reTocated and that the station awner could still reniain i.n <br />},uoiness. Mr. Greene pointed out tha.t a fence, shrubs or trees ?oca.ted on the re2.r <br />lot line xould not deter the noise9 fumes, etc. and that that wa.s the purpose of the <br />501 requirement. Mr. Greene moved to deny the variG.nce; seconc?ed by Mrs. Eian and passed. <br />10, Appellants Orlean Company. Request to erect w dwelling at 24859 Doe Drive with <br />a 411 rear yard. <br />Requsst is in violation of Ordinance #62-33, Section 1163.01 which <br />requires a 501 rear yard. <br />Present: Mr. Sandler of the Orlean Co. <br />Mr. Sandler stated that the home in question would be a more expensive houae (about <br />$30,000 value) and would upgx.-Lde the neighborhood. The question of va.ria.nces on <br />Antler Drive wa.s raised and a. plat plan of the subdivision was stud.ied. It was deter- <br />mined that no variance-had been granted..-for the Zot immediately behind the one in <br />question. Mrs. Eian m.oved to gra.nt a 4z1 front ya.rd variance and a 4z1 rear yard <br />variance; seconcled by Mr. Forcellini and passed. <br />The meet3ng was adjourned at 10:30 P.M. <br />Ricllard Nelson?
