Greene, Nelson, RobertS <br />Also Present: Mr. Gundy., Building Commissioner <br />The minutes of the 10/2/68 and 10/14/68 raeetings were approved aS written. <br />1. AppeTlant: St. Brendan's C21urch. Request f'or special permit (1Z33.09) to build <br />an addition to thEir scllool located in a resideiltial district. <br />Permit requested as per Ordinance #62-33, Section 1151.0I (E). <br />Preaentz Father Kenny, Mr. Grady, Mr. Smart, Mr. &Mrs. Graczowski, Mrs. Dabek, Mr. <br />Stra6hen, Mr. Cole <br />Father Kenny explained that the proposed addition will not increase the enrollment of <br />the school - only the facilities. At presenty classes are using part of the church <br />due to the crowr7.ed conditions. Four new classrooms are necessary to accomodate the <br />700 students attending the school. Since the en.rollraent will not be chaiiged, the <br />additior_ will not increase the traffic flow. Mr. GraczowSki suggested that a barrier <br />be erected to eliminate children from cutting through his yard. He opposes the addition <br />unless the entire church and school area are fenced. Fa.ther KPnny stated that he was <br />uraware of P-ny problem in this respect 'out that he would request that students not do <br />this. He a-so explained that it would rnean fencing in a four a.cro parcel which would <br />be very expensive. It was estiznated that it would cost ?3000 to fence the area. It <br />wa.s exnlained to Mr. Graczowski that si.nce the enrolJ-inent would not be increa,sed, the <br />addition would not add to the existing problem. Mr. Greene TIIoved to gra.nt a special <br />permit for the addition with the recommendation that a fence be considered in the <br />.future. Mr. Roberts seconded the moti.on. The motion passed. <br />2. AnpellLnt: Cingue Poad Congregational Church. Rer,uest for Special per7nit (1133.09) <br />to build 3n-addition to the church which is located in a residential <br />district. <br />Permit requested as per Ordinance #62-33, Section I15I.01 (E). <br />Present: Reverend Trumph, Mr. Lowrey, Mr. Herbster (all representing the church) <br />Mr. Lowrey explained that the addition was needed to increa.se sp-ace. A11 additioils <br />are confomimg and there is ample parking. Mr. Roberts rnoved to grant a special permit <br />for the church addition; seconcled by Mr. Greene and passed. <br />3. AppeLant: John Lontor. Gontirauation of request for variance (1133.13) for <br />expansion of legal non-conforining use of the Golf brivirig Range? <br />26000 Lorain Road. Request is in viola.tion of Ordinance 7162-33, Section 1233.0I. <br /> <br />Present: Mr. Lontor9 Mr. O'rdeill, Mrs. Zath? Mrs. Moeller, Mr. BEmzett, Mr. Brehrn, <br />Mr. Reemsnyder, Mr. Byar, Mr. Reis, Mr. Schroecler, Mr. Cahill, Mr. Martin <br />Mr. Lontor explained that he -vrishes to expand the gresent business to include a pro <br />shop, driveway, tees, lights, etc. Residents in attendance questioned Mr. Lontor in <br />r?gards to lighting, persons trespa.ssing onto their properties, maintenance of the <br />land involved, etc. It was also asked whether a vaxiance meant that the property <br />zad beexi rezoned. It was explained that if a variance is granted for non-conforming <br />use, it does not change the zoning and that tlZe zoning coul.d be cha.nged only after
