The meeting Er^?.s called to ord.er a.t 7:35 P.M. by Cnairman John Roberts. <br />Those Presetlt: Mrs. Eian, Mssrs. Greene, B-oberts, Forcel7_ini, L?:.ncashire <br />Also PrPsent: Mr. Brady, 13u3_Idirg Department <br />The mir.utes of 11/7/68 were approvPd as written. <br />1. Agpellant: Topps Department Store, Great Northern Blvd. Continuation of request to <br />erect a sign fa.cing Brookpark Road west of Great Northerzs Boulevaxd.. Sigrz <br />is in excess of permitted sriuare footage and too high. <br />Request is in violation of Orciinance -#62-33, Sec-tion 1225.02. <br />Prescnt: Mr. Friedl from Marjak Devclopment Cor2pany. <br />Mr. Friedl stated that other pexsons scneduled to appear with hi.m a.nd to nresent new plans <br />h*ere unable to attend the raeeting. He requested that the Board act on the request as <br />previously submittc:d. Mr. Roberts reviewed the iacts discussed at earlier meetings. The <br />faet tha.t a bank is to be constructed at thC corner vms ciiscussed and it was felt that it <br />would partiaI].y obstruct the view of Topps. _ In "oraer to reriedy this situatian, it was felt <br />that the sigi-i would have to be higner than the 251 -oermitted by the code but meiabers could <br />see no reason for the Excess square footage of sign. Mr. GrPene P-ioved to grant a 31 variance <br />on the hEight of the sign and no variance on the sVare footage; seconded by P2r. Forcellini <br />and pa,ssod. ,. .. <br />: 2. 1!pnel.lant: B?uer DPVnlopinent Co. Continuatior of rECUest for extension of time for <br />site sign located on corner of Belldvue Drive a_nd Fitch Road. A six month <br />permit wa.s granted for sign on 4/3/68. <br />Request is in violation of Ordinance 7162-33, Section 1225.0I (C-2). <br />Present; Mr. Ba.uer, tYir. Oring, Mr. Freeh <br />Mr. P,oberts reviewed the request ancl stateel that tlzis case ha,d been continued frora the <br />Iast meeting for the purpose of determining the number of sigris in use within the <br />develorment. Mr-. R,)uer stated that all o£ the signs except for the one in cuestion ha.d <br />been .removed. Mr. OTing sDeaking for the Homeowners Associatiorn comtnended the developer <br />en the removaI of signs and stated tllat they would not obj ect to a reasbnable number of <br />tl?em. In regards to the one in auestion - they have no objection to it' if it is made <br />structurally sound.. Mr. Rauer stated -that he has a1ready orclered materia.ls to do tnis. <br />Mr. Greene moved to grant a six nonth extension of time provided the sign is put i-ato <br />respectable condition within.one week; seconded by Mrs. Eiun aiad passed. <br />3. AnneZlant: Bauer Develapment Co. Request to erect.a.house on S/L 190 Revere Drive <br />with a 51 .f.ront or rea.r yard variance. <br />R.enuest is in violation of Ordinance ,,--'62-33, Section 1159.01 h*hich requires <br />? 50' front yard or Sccticsn 7_163.01 -..Tnich rea,uires a 50' rear yard. <br />PreSent: Mr. B;?uer, Mr. Oring, Mr. Freeh <br />? Mr. Bauer submitted Um altErnate plarzs for the propoMed house - orZe requiring a 51 front <br />vard. variance a,nd one recluiring a 51 rear yard variance. He stated that he felt tliat the <br />.? ront yarc1 variance would be preferw.ble. i lar. gP ditch cut1,1:'?b across the siae o:C the lot <br />interfPres -?,dth Placement of t,'tZe house. It was determined tliat beca-use oi the curvature af <br />the road, the i:ront line ti;ould not be even any7?ay. The plat waG studied and a coMprornise.
