BOARD OF ZOPTING APPEALS - 5/2$/69 - Page L,,. <br />Present: Mr, Kulig, Mrs, Hout <br />Mr, Kulig preseMted plans for a Top Value Sta;tnp Reclemption Center, He stated that the <br />used car lot presently located on this lot a.ad also the oId house there would be destroged. <br />He feels that it ,nuld be a hardship to place the buildiltg 501 back because the other <br />stores ia the area are a1I 151 to lga setback with the ones om the opposite side of the <br />street being 51 to ?_Or back from the street. Mrs. Hout (Blaxche BeIZ) stated that she <br />owxs the 7.ot adjace7at to the west Iine amd that she feels that if a variaxce is graated,, <br />she would be unable_to._ttilize her Ia.v.d. Mr, Kulig stated that he had offered to buy <br />Mxs. Hout° s property but that.she ha.d ref'used to seTl. Discussion was held as to Sahether <br />a real ha.rdship existed.. Mr.s..-.Eiax moved to deny the variance due to lack of Yardship; <br />seconded by Mr. Greene affid umaffiimously passed. <br />It was decided that the July meetixg tmuld be heTd on Weclnesday July 9th imstead of <br />tidecl.nesday July 2aad. <br />Discussioxi was held regarding possibZe recouunenda-tions for chaiages iiq the zoiaing code. <br />Mr. ' Groene and Mrs. Eian both stated. tha.t they felt that parking shonld aot be perai.tted <br />withiza the 50' setba,ck. Mrs. Eiaxi pointed out that regardiffig gasoline stations oxi <br />corners, she felt that making them put their puraps ba,ck 50' from the street would put <br />then that much closer to resident's on the side street and would create a hardship for <br />them. It wa.s also felt that larger buffer zanes should be required for mediurn rise <br />apartaen,tso Mrs. Eiaxi suggested possibly requiring two drivewa.ys - one for ingress and <br />one for egress.
