GreeMe, Lancashire, Roberts, Ernest Green <br />Also Present: Mr. Gundy, Building Cor.unissioner <br />It was announcen that Carriage Carpet hac1 withdrawn their rea_uest for a sign variance. <br />The minutes of the 2/4/70 meeting were anproved as writterl. <br />1. Appellry.nt: Marion Ray, 23818 Oalc Lane. Fec,uest for special permit to add to non- <br />conforming house as per Ordir_ance #62-33, Section 1231.02 (B). <br />Present: Mr. and Mrs. Ray, Mr. Zauner <br />Mr. Greene read Mr. Ray's application for specia.l per-rdit statirg tnat tlzey need more <br />room for their family and s-ris'h to build. an addition. He also read Ietters fron Mr. <br />York arid Mr. Schroeder, neighbors of the arpellant, stating that they object to a <br />perznit being gran-ted. Mr. 7auner, another'neighbor, stated that he feels the request <br />should be denied because of closeness to the rear Iot Iine. The RRy's house is <br />non-con£orraing in that the rear yard is 48.61. Mr. Ray stated that they are new in <br />the neighborhood and do not wish to cause ill feelings. Or the basis that the new <br />addition would alsa be non-conforning, Mr. F.oberts moved to deny the request; seconded <br />by Mre La.ncas'.nire and unani?.r?oixslf passed. <br />?_. Apnellant: Angelo Monte., 442I Martin Drive. Request for variance (I133.I3) on <br />n.inimum- width of lot at build:ing line in proposed subdivision of Martin <br />Drive property. Proposed lo't would be 68.681 in width at building line <br />in a 701 rea,uired area. <br />Present: Mr. T-Sonte, Mr. Croi-r <br />Mr. Montte explained that his proposed subd_ivision. meets -the 701 frontage requirement <br />but that due to the angIe of the lot, it is not 70t at the building line. Discussion <br />was held regarding corel_ r.ieasurements at front of proposed lots, how width of building <br />Iine is determined, etc. It was pointed out that the setbacks of hones along MartiM <br />Prive vary greatlg. Mr. Crow, owner of the adjacent lot, stated that he opposes to <br />the genera.l layout and way in w-hich houses would be Iocated. Mr. Montet s-?iouse sets <br />at the far rear of the lot and would actUaIIJ be bebind tlae house that would be built <br />on the new lot if the subdivision is approvec?. It was pointed out that if Mr. Monte's plan was redrawn Trith parallel Zot <br />lines on pro-oosed new Iot9 no varia.nce T,Tould be necessary. Mr. Lancashire recomend.ed <br />to 14r. Monte that 'ze- have the ;nlan redrawn with parallel -1-ines.sa that Lot #1 would have <br />701 f'rontage and 701 back width hTith adepth of 175r.
