He cited the pronosed Lorain P.oad rezoning and strted that it <br />fa.iled because of political rressureo He ask_ed residents if they s•rould <br />rather see hamburger stands, gas stations and baoze joints. He added that <br />this d.eveloper was in three times prior to th.e time that the Planning <br />Commission ruled fazrorably on his proposal. <br />Mr. Brewer a.ddeO that the approved proposal was ?boUt 2/3 the size originally <br />nroposed and st^.ted that the original plans brought the build.ing much closer <br />to the residentia.l area o.nd ha.d been rejected because of this facto <br />Mro Davis st?ted th^t the original plan shozaed. only a 201 buffer zone. He <br />added that it nosr sho-s an go' buifer and that the Planiling Commission <br />certainly* considerPd the property oianers in the area when they required <br />this additional buifer areao <br />Mr. R^.nsberry stated that the Fnginee.ring Department hasn't anproved_ any <br />drainage nlan - only the preliminzry site pl,an. He furthur added that they <br />have gone on record a.s saying that the dr^inage Trrill be a serious nroblem <br />1nd that they have !asked the developer's engineer to submit plans on how <br />they pla.n to drain the property, <br />Mr. Zeonprd sta.ted that before any rezoning can be a.pproved, nublic her.rings <br />will be held with notification of same in the net-*spaper.
