(2) Cliff Cr?.bbs, 25575 Butternut Ridge Road9 <br />objected to the proposed ordinance on the following grounds: (a.) No <br />clause to proter,t residents in case o7" property or other da.mage. (b), <br />No clause to protect the city. (c) TTo engineering drawings have <br />been present•ed. (d) Rezoning should be considered cor.currently with <br />the proposed sub-station which, when considPred, would be spot zoning. <br />(e) More desirn.ble riethods of'bringing power into the a.rea are <br />available. (3) Selester Hess, 25/+27 Butternut Ridge Road, stated <br />that he lost a sale of his property when the buyer learned about the <br />Droposed power line. (4) Henry B. 1•Iilms, 6140 Columbia Road, objected <br />to the anpea.rance oi the proposecl poles so close to resid.ential- <br />property. (5) Bill Giesser, 25118 Carey Lane, feels that Council <br />has the power and Ghould exercise it to recuire underground construction. <br />He also stated that the nroposed sub-sta.tion should be loca.ted in the <br />area of the Great Northern c-hopping Center. (6) J. H. Childs9 5988 <br />Columbia Road Gnd Ja.mes R. Ba.sile, 25391 Butternut Ridge Road expressed <br />comments similar to those detailed aboveo The representa.tive of CEI <br />explained.why the additional power cannot be brought over existing <br />routes, Mr. Dazris moved to place the proposal into a com?nittee-of-the- <br />whole.
