CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />PLANNING CONdVIIS5ION <br />September 14, 1971 <br />I. Roll Call <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Donald Ledvina. <br />Those present were Messrs. I,edvina James Davis, J. Edward Brewer, Kurt <br />Richards, James Leonarde Absent: 'Edward Byers, R ichard Nelson. Also <br />present: Mr. Ransbury, Assistant to City E'ngineer; Marge Nad.er, Secretary. <br />II. Reading and correction of TJlinutes •_ <br />Regarding the minutes of the 8/24/71 meeting, Mr. Richards pointed out <br />that under III (a) line 4, the word "not" should be "nodv.11 Mr. Brewer <br />moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the 8/24/71 meeting <br />and to approve as corrected; seconded by Mr. Davis. <br />III. Building Department Requests <br />(a) Olmsted Plaza - Mr. Ransbury presented plans for Olmsted Plaza. <br />They had previously received a permit on theater B, C and D. Mra <br />Il'avis moved to approve buildings E, F, G and addition to Topps' <br />parcel. Mra Brewer seconded the motion. It was unanimously passed. <br />(b) 7-11 Store - Another survey was made by the Planning Commission and <br />it still remains a fact that the traffic is a critical problem. Mr. <br />Brewer moved that the plan be rejected because of the safety factor; <br />Mr. Leonard seconded the motion. iVIotion carries with Mr. Davis voting <br />no. <br />(c) Car Wash on Lorain & Root Rd. -A. disc"u'ssion was held on the car wash <br />and gas pumps on Lorain R oa d. Mr. Leonard made a motion to accept the <br />proposal. It was seconded by Mr. I3avis. Mr. Richards and Mr. Brewer <br />voted no. The motion was rejected. _ <br />(d) Hen R oc P.ezoning Request -Efforts to contact Hen Roc have been futile, <br />therefore it has been abandonedo <br />(e) Olmsted Manor - The origina l proposal has not been abandoned. They <br />are working with a local church group and will ask to be placed on <br />the Planning Commisaion agenda in the near futuure. <br />IV. Old. Bus ine s s <br />(a) Great Northern Rezoning - The Great Northern Partnership presented revised <br />plans to change the zoning from B residence, single to Mixed Use District. <br />Mra Bavis made a motion to approve the change. It was seconded by 141r. <br />Brevder, and unanimously passed. <br />(b) McCrone Subdivision_ Sandy R id.ge #t°, 10, 11, and 12 must be resubmitted, <br />as it is not a proper proposal. The application has been found deficient <br />and we have not considered the matter.
