Violation of Ord. <br />62-33 Section 1225.02 (E-4) "The maximum size one face of any pole <br />sign shall not exceed 50 square feet.'r <br />Present: Councilman Speedling, Ulrs. Brown and Mr. I,ambert. Witnesses <br />were administered the oath. Mr. Tubbs read the case and request was <br />reviewed. The size of sign was scaled down to total of 96.6 square <br />£eet. It was determined this is not a hardship case. Yir. Lambert <br />described sign, community messaoes it could convey, cost, etc. Mr. <br />Scheef moved to deny the request inasmuch as size is too far beyond <br />our ordinance. Con- <br />tinuance of request for variance (1133.13)o Request is to establish <br />setback from street on Clungman Subdivision (cor. Grace and Elm). Vio- <br />lation of Ord. 62-33 Section 1159.01 which requires 50 ft. setback. <br />Present: Mr. Clingman, N?r. Robinson and others. tnJitnesses were ad- <br />ministered the oath. Mr. Clingman described reduction in area of lot <br />and setback request. Mr. Tubbs had made inspection. P4re Robinson <br />said otiher homes in area have proper setbacks. NIr. Tubbs read letter <br />of objection from Mr. Berk' 4702 Grace. Mr. Scheef moved to grant <br />variance on lot #l -L0 fto setback; lots #2,3,4 - 30 ft. setback and <br />apnrove 55 ft. width of one nan-conforming lot. Yir. Berglund seconded <br />and the motion passed. <br />Sparky DiBenedetto representing Federated Department Store Gold Circle. <br />Continuance of request for variance (1133e13) for a special permit to <br />erect oversize sign for Gold Circle on Brookpark Extension. Violation <br />of Ord. 62-33 Section 1225.02. <br />Present: Sparky DiBenedetto, i?irs. Brown, Councilman Speedling, and Mr. <br />Potts and Mr. Radcliffe from Federated Department Stores. Presented <br />was alternate proposal from November meetingo New height is proposed <br />at 40 ft. and 310 square feet. Mr. Potts stated hardship exists inas,- <br />much as store is to be located 500 ft. from main traffic artery. Re- <br />quest is much more tha.n law allows. Witness was administered the oath. Letters <br />were presented from Mrs. Kolk and N?r. Bouve, neighbors, stating no ob- <br />jection to erection of tool shed. It was stated by board members this <br />is new neighborhood, if one request is granted there will be many more. <br />Mr. Berglund moved to deny request for special permit. Yir.
