He said he felt.that as long as the board had the money for this <br />part of it, it would be wrong to turn down the request because the fence <br />doesn't go far enough. Mr. Blakely stated that when they removed the <br />fence that surrounded the practice field, they decided to use the equivalent <br />amount of fence and put it up along this side line. The Board has no per- <br />manent plans to extend the.fence beyond that which is being asked for because <br />they couldn't commit a future board as to what it could or could not do. Mr. <br />Swick stated he gets the traffic from both' front and back. Mr. Caster <br />objected to a f.enc_e all the way along the back property lines because it would <br />funnel all the traffic through his yard. Mr. Scheef moved to grant a variance <br />to erect a 6 ft. fence; seconded by Mr. Tubbs. Messrs. Tubbs, Berglund, <br />and Scheef voted yes . Mr. Roberts and Mrs. Eian voted no. <br />3. Appellant: Columbia Estates - Request to erect dwelling on <br />S/L 10, 26780 Hyannis Port Dr., North Olmsted with a 10' <br />rear yard variance (1133.13). Request is in violation of <br />Ord. #62-33, Section 1163.01, which requires a 50' rear yard. <br />Present: Mr. Bob Balow, Mr. Scharer, .. ' <br />All witnes s es were sworn in. Mr . Balow stated that his hous e is now.-:10`£t . <br />further back from the line than it should be. It is 40 ft. from the rear line. <br />Mr. Schaar said he didn't obj ect to this, but just wanted to know what kind <br />of house it was. Motion was. made by Mr. Roberts to grant the variance; <br />seconded by Mrs o Eian and unanimously passed. <br />4. Appellant: Harry Constantine, 27080 Lorain Rd. ,- Request for <br />special permit to use projecting sign from the facia to replace <br />existing projecting signo Request is in violation of Ord. #62-33 <br />Section 1227.03 which states flashing, moving or intermittent <br />illumination and outline lighting shall not be permitted by right; <br />the Board, may, however, ma.ke a finding and permit such <br />lighting as a conditional use; if such permit is. granted, the <br />maximum area of signs. shall be reduced by one half. , <br />Present: Mr. Ben Wright <br />The witnes s was sworn in. Mr. Wright explained that the owner, Mr. <br />Constantine, had already.purchased this flashing sign. Mr. Roberts <br />objected to .the flashing part of the sign. Mr. Wright asked if the sign <br />could be used with tlie flasher remaining'constant. He was told this could <br />be done. Mrs . Eian moved to disapprove the request; seconded by Mr. <br />Roberts and unanimously denied. <br />5. Hennie Homes - Request for variance (1133.13 for front setback <br />on S/L 200 through 20`3 and S/L, Nos . 5 thru 8 inclusive, <br />Blossom Boulevarde Request is in violation of Qrd. #62-33, <br />Section 1159.01, .which requires a 501 front yard. <br />Present: Mre Richard Puzzietiello, Mr. Raymond Puzzietiello.
