Mr, Svoboda presented Interchange Plan. <br />I-480 wi11 have three interchanges in the City of North Olmsted: <br />Clague Road will be partial interchange while Columbia and Ltearns <br />Roads will be full interchanges. There will be composite map of <br />all recommendations made so far. No attempt to act on incongruity <br />mentioned has been made. The relation bettaeen commercial and inter <br />change areas is shown. Reports were distributed. Area 1 on Page <br />2 of the report is not suitable for commercial type use. The resi- <br />dential area is in line kith present development. South of free- <br />way the City has acquired park. It is a small walk in park for <br />neighboring children. On other side there is green entry way to <br />the City. Area 2 is relocated Columbia Road interchange. Some <br />surrounding area is undeveloped. 10 acres of motor services is <br />recommended for this area. Columbia Road will be full four di- <br />rectional interchange. It has reiationship to facili-ties: region- <br />al deve7,opment of Grea-t Northern. In the southeast quadrant are <br />low density homes with 20 acres e;Bvelopable. The southwest quad- <br />rant is partially develeped. Single family development is desir- <br />able here. There is established single family and schools. Area <br />3 isStearns Rd. with four directional interchange. Restriction <br />exists on actual type of development that can occur. The freeway <br />extends two-thirds of the way to commercial border. Most suitable <br />would be extension of residential. Nlr. Tubbs asked why interchange <br />at Stearns Rd, is needed. The Regional Planning Commission did not <br />establish the interchanges. Hastings was rel.ocated because of em- <br />bankment of freeway.
