Questions were invited. i?1r. .t3rrewer asked about <br />apartmerit areas shswn a month ago, near Ranchview and between <br />Dover and Porter near Berkshire. The new plan shotas separation <br />of various apartments by height; en Lorain Rd. there is now limit <br />of two storieso Low densities provide greater green spaces, less <br />parking than commercial. Mr. Ledvina asked if mixed multiple zon- <br />ing is being considered in this plan. office residential is al- <br />ternate to this. There are no mixed multiple zoned areas in city. <br />The feeling of the Citizens' Advisory Committee was 2 stor.y limit. <br />Tovin house and garden type apartments were mixed thus projecting <br />101000 less population. Total popu7.ation projection is now 62,000. <br />Apartment development at we;st end of the community (Industrial area0 <br />has been dropped. Question k?as asked concerning how man.y apartment <br />units we have now, or how many acres are developed in apartments <br />now. Long depth of apartmer.ts into single family residence areas <br />was rr:entioned. Mr. Brewer -wlondered if traffic problems and safety <br />hazards are being developed. There seemed to be no access to par- <br />cel near Ranchview except from Lorain Rc'. Villet Rd. in another <br />area cQUld be a second access road into residential. The L`?.ch4ltz <br />subdivision d.iscussed earlier in this meeting is similar. Mr. <br />Svoboda referred to table to be mailed later this week to memberso <br />Table shows vast majority of development in the community is single <br />family. There is increasing apartment and high rise. 120 acres <br />outside Lorain Rd. are being ze ne d to apartments. An effort is be- <br />ing made to eliminate land locked properties.
