The last building is to be built later, after enclosed mall is built, and to be very expensiveo Plan should be reTriewed by Housing subcommit- tee. Feelings of elderly citizens should be ccnsidered. Mr. Richards is chairman of subcommittee and set committee meeting for May 114, and public hearing was set for May 22. Elderly buildings cannot be converted to condominimums4 Mr. Brewer questioned extra 5 acres from Victcria Plaza. Mr. Shur said they were zoned for mixed use. There is plot plan for 10 acres. Changes must come in front of Planning Commission and Council. (d) Sandy Ridge Subdivision #10. Mr. ilIcDermatt presented fina], plans ix7hich meet specifica- tions and are in conformance. Plans include road from Porter to Dover. There are 96 lots in subdivision. Mr. Breier moved for approval, Mr. Richards seconded. Dur- ing discussion it was mentioned there is 20 ft. driveway access to recreation area to north which will be deeded to city. All present voted in favor of the motion. (e ) Retail Center at Park iZid7e and I,orain. Mr, B. Schwarzer presented new plan ztiith additional di- mension and one parking space less. There is parking for 55 cars and 9,163 square feet of building. Planting strip has been added and fencing screening is to be placed adjacent to next door swimming pool. Description of building and cccupants was given. Neighbors present, Mr. George Zubelak9 President of PGrk Rid7e Association and representing 300 families, Mary Ann Napik, 5985 Park Ridge, Pete Selanik, 28732 Lynhaven and Robert Shamus, 28586 Lynhaven voiced objections to proposed p1an. Ex- eess traffic, use of islands (cianed by city but maintain- ed by residents) safety of children and space for trucks backing and turning taere main objections. Mr. Davis ask- ed for suggestions for use of the propert.y. Professional building or affice use is recommended b.y Regional Planning. 14r. Davis questioned direction of drainage d.itch behind Lynhaven on ;hamus property, Mr. NcDermott said this should be studied. Mr. Tubbs moved to place in committee pend.ing engineering study. Nlr.
