PLPNNING COMMISSION <br />April 9' 1974 <br />I. Roll Call <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Richards at 8.00 p.m. <br />Present: CYiairman Richards, Secretary Tischler, Mrs. Eian,; MessrS <br />Elliott, Davis and Prokasy. <br />Also Present: Mr. McDermott, Acting City Engineer, Nlr. Gareau, <br />Director of Law, Councilmen Saringer, S%'est, Goggin <br />and Sharpe and Mrs. Hodgins, Recording Secretarye <br />ZY. Review and Correction of Minutes <br />Mrs. rian moved to accept minutes of March 26, 1974 meeting as <br />distributedo Tsir. Prokasy seconded and motion passed. <br />III. Building Department <br />(a) Old Requests - no items <br />(b) New Requests <br />(1) Mr. McDermott presented plans for additional parking <br />at Medical Building Uiest. Plan is for additional <br />parking and additional outlet on Root Rd. Mr. Nel- <br />son representing tne medical building spoke of exist- <br />ing congestion on Lorain Rd. at entrance. Zoning maps <br />were studied by the Commission members. Neighbors <br />Roy Johnson siad proposal will bring.parking too close <br />to his property and neighbor Bill Weikers is of the <br />opinion Root Rd. should not be forced to accept com- <br />mercial traffic and he worries about drainage problem. <br />Mr. Prokasy said zoning is inconclusive. Mro Prokasy <br />moved to refer plan to Law Direcotr, Engineer and <br />Building Commissioner for clarification of zoning. <br />Mr. Davis seconded the motion. During discussion <br />buffer zo7e was questioned. Motion passed. <br />IV. Old Business <br />(a) Groveland Gardens Subdivision - Lorain Rd. east of Bentley. <br />Mr. McDermott submitted plans for subdivision proposal of <br />division into two parcels: one parcel to have frontage of <br />189 fta and one to have frontage of 187 ft. Nir. Prokasy <br />moved to approve subdivision into S/L 1 and S/L 2 for re - <br />cordingo Mr. Davis seconded and motion passed. <br />(b) Rezoning at Country Club Blvd. and V%ctoria Lane - Inter- <br />faith of North Olmsted for elderly housing.
