Significant planning is underway for the Bicentennial New <br />Year's Eve Bash and Fourth bf July fireworlcs event. The group discussed the merits of a July 4 <br />or July 5 event at Great Northern Mall; there were pros and cons to each. An upcoming meeting <br />with involved parties may provide greater direction, but there was a slight preference to July 5. <br />Other feature events are in development or require leadership from other organizations, such as <br />Hoinecoming. Other events are in planning and discussion stages. Metroparks indicated their <br />support and proposed a nature walk or hike could be organized fairly easily. <br />A number of possible initiatives have been identified, including the Bradley Woods trailhead, the <br />Doolittle marker, restoration of Old Town Hall and public art.
