Sue <br />volunteered to make a holiday themed cutout (thing you stick your head through) for use on the <br />patio. Kids' crafts were ordered and have arrived. <br />Most of the conversation focused on how to amp up the fun at the event, in the case of fewer <br />craft vendors and more background type music. More emphasis on family friendly activities <br />would make the event lively. Ideas included inviting a face painter and caricaturist, and having <br />organized kids' games and activities. <br />Lauren will design a rack card for promotion but no programs for this year. Instead signage in <br />the event space will let guests know where to go and what to expect. The goal is to have <br />everything for the event planned and in place by the November meeting. Kim will send emails <br />with update requests for the first week of November. <br />Fall Events Recap <br />Members discussed the various October events. The Bicentennial Clambake & Golf Outing <br />raised about $1,400. The Arts Showcase was a tremendous success and well received by all. <br />Likewise the history tour was enjoyable and nearly 150 people were involved. Landmarks <br />Commission may plan a future tour down the road maybe five years.
