I . - -/ 'k
Company and Breadheads Bakery. She has not had success with roasted nuts yet. Sue
volunteered to make a holiday themed cutout (thing you stick your head through) for use on the
patio. Kids' crafts were ordered and have arrived.
Most of the conversation focused on how to amp up the fun at the event, in the case of fewer
craft vendors and more background type music. More emphasis on family friendly activities
would make the event lively. Ideas included inviting a face painter and caricaturist, and having
organized kids' games and activities.
Lauren will design a rack card for promotion but no programs for this year. Instead signage in
the event space will let guests know where to go and what to expect. The goal is to have
everything for the event planned and in place by the November meeting. Kim will send emails
with update requests for the first week of November.
Fall Events Recap
Members discussed the various October events. The Bicentennial Clambake & Golf Outing
raised about $1,400. The Arts Showcase was a tremendous success and well received by all.
Likewise the history tour was enjoyable and nearly 150 people were involved. Landmarks
Commission may plan a future tour down the road maybe five years. Arts Showcase could be
considered for an annual or bi-annual event.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business the meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
Lauren Suter
Vice Chair
Ki berly Wenger
Director of Planning & Development
Approved: I 1 l It i 1 `j
