?
,.. •
?_...
The oath was administered to Lindsay Babcock of McQueen Advertising, Eric McQueen of
McQueen Advertising and property owner Jeff Hammerschmidt. Ms. Babcock said they would
like two wall signs both of which will face I-480. The signs are needed so they are visible to both
east and west bound traffic. Hi Tech Pools is located at the back of a cul-de-sac which makes
their location a challenge to find. Having two wall signs facing east and west on I-480 would
assist clients and potential clients in finding their location. Mr. McQueen said having the signs
would minimize potential traffic hazards from a client not seeing the sign until after they've
passed by. Mr. Haimnerschmidt submitted photos showing the view from I-480 traveling east
and west however the signs will be placed on the northeast and southeast walls. Mr. Russell said
he had no objections however the owner needs to submit a sign package for his multi-tenant
building. The site was developed in three phases, this last addition completes the development
therefore a sign package is required. Mr. Raig questioned existing signage on the building and
the number of spaces occupied. Mr. Hammerschmidt said the proposed signs would be the only
signs on the building and each unit would have individual signs on their door as spaces are filled.
The number of signs on the building is based on the tenant's needs or requirements. Once all the
spaces are filled he will return for a monument sign. Mr. Raig said the location is very hard to
find in the cul-de-sac. Mr. Hammerschmidt said each unit will have the address and names of the
businesses on their doors. He said within two months the building will be filled and he will be
returning for a build-out and no one is requesting additional signage. He owns and built both
properties at the end of the cul-de-sac and he doesn't see the need to worry about a sign package.
Ms. Rudolpla rr?oved, seconded by Mr. Raig, to grant APP15-2847: I3igh Tech Pools of
32330 Industrial Parkway a variance for 1 additional vvall sign; code permits one (1),
applicant shows two (2), Section 1163.28(a), which passed 3-0.
ADJOiJRNMENT
With no further business, Bob Papotto and Eric Allain's absences were excuseci and meeting
adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
" 4.
