llam-12pm: Stephanie and Janelle <br />12-lpm: Stephanie, Janelle and James (tear-down) <br />It was agreed by all that the flower craft from the July 15t' Westside Flea will work as the craft <br />for the Frostville table, as there are plenty of supplies left. James will bring the craft supplies, <br />tent, sign, and as many rack cards as he can find; many of them have already been given away or <br />distributed across the city. Lauren confirmed that she will create a rack card for August events so <br />that they can be printed quickly and distributed over the next several weeks. <br />2017 Work Plan Discussimn <br />Summer in the City - Sunday, August 20 <br />Laura and James confirmed that Kristine Jackson, a longtime performer around the Cleveland <br />music scene, is scheduled for the August concert. She will be bringing her full band and <br />performing her blues-influenced songs. Laura recommended that James look for smaller food <br />trucks to accommodate a smaller crowd than what many trucks are accustomed to. James will <br />reach out to these trucks. <br />Yoga in the Park - Saturday, August 5 <br />Leah and Jackie led the discussion about continuing the event series into September. It was <br />agreed that the next event will be held on Saturday, September 2nd. Leah will contact Jill and <br />Kelly from Circle of Life to confirm this date. Jackie clarified that while the Cabin may not be <br />available as a rain venue, the Senior Center Activity Room will be available. <br />"Be Our Guest": An Afternoon of Tea and Trumpets - Sunday, September 10 <br />Stephanie confirmed that the event is still going ahead as planned, with the NOCS Education <br />Foundation doing the coordinating. The Arts Commission may provide valuable assistance in <br />promotion and day-of support. Any Commission financial contributions will be finalized before <br />August's meeting and reported out. <br />North Olmsted Noel - Sunday, December 3 <br />James confirmed that the reindeer is booked for $875.00, the same amount as last year. He has <br />requested that Jungle Island Zoo bring reindeer with antlers, but there is no guarantee. Annie <br />confirmed that she will reach out to last year's Santa. It was agreed by all that the light <br />installation will not be renewed and that the carolers will not be invited back. In lieu of these <br />carolers, Leah confirmed that she will reach out her Pine School contact and gauge their interest <br />in performing at the event. <br />Additional ideas for 2017 event improvements included: community organization-sponsored <br />trees, gingerbread houses, exterior lighting displays, ice sculptures and illuminated pole banners. <br />It was agreed by all that regardless of what idea is ultimately implemented at this year's event, <br />community engagement should be a primary focus. <br />City Hall Art Gallerv <br />Leah moved to approve Mike Rozack's gallery application for display from September lst through <br />October 31St, seconded by Jackie.
