The group discussed tabling Frostville Farmers' Markets during the summer. James will send a <br />Doodle poll to determine what day(s) in July work for members to staff a table. Crafts and/or <br />activities will be compiled closer to the event, based on what is left over from previous events. <br />The new sign and summer event rack cards will be brought along to increase exposure for the <br />Commission. <br />2017 Work Plan Discussion <br />Summer in the Citv - Sundav June 18, July 16, Au u <br />James confirmed that all bands have been booked: The Colin Dussault Blues Project Band in <br />June, Billy Morris and the Sunset Strip in July and Kristine Jackson in August. Food trucks are <br />still being finalized, but not issues are foreseen in securing trucks. James will ask the Rec Center <br />to loan lawn games for the June 18t' concert as supplemental entertainment. The concerts will be <br />advertised via City channels, social media, flyers and pole banners. <br />Yoga in the Park - Saturday June 3, July 1, Auu? st 5 <br />Leah and Jackie confirmed that the events have been scheduled and organized with Circle of Life <br />Yoga. Their only concern is the Cabin occupancy limit in the event of rain, but will address this <br />as necessary. Jackie moved, seconded by Leah, to approve the payrnent of Circle of Life Yoga <br />for all three events at $80 per event. Motion passed unanimously. <br />"Be Our Guest" - An Afternoon of Tea and Trumpets - Sunday, September 10 <br />Stephanie updated the group on the progress of this joint event proposed between the North <br />Olmsted Education Foundation and the Arts Commission at St Clarence Church. Venue details <br />still need confirmed, so she will updated the Commission in June after more details have been <br />worked out. A financial contribution is an option to help support the event, among other <br />logistical and coordination efforts. <br />Fall Events - TBD <br />The group decided that an October storytelling event would be a fun, unique event to coincide <br />with the Halloween season. Stephanie mentioned that she will be attending a"book tasting <br />party", where guests sample different foods or drinks that tie into a specific book or author. The <br />group decided that this idea is worth more exploration and will further hone the idea and set a <br />date during the June meeting. <br />Oxcart Pantrv Little House Proiect <br />The group discussed the potential for a free library concept at this location. It was determined <br />that the regularly-scheduled June 21St Arts Commission meeting will take place at Oxcart Pantry <br />to go over ideas for the space.
